A few teams including Sudbury need more than a 5'11-6ft edgy player, they need the influence of a 6'4 200lbs who can still play the game. Its one thing to stir up shit and something completely different to put an end to it. There are a limited number of players who fit the billing, Xhekaj happens to be one of them.
Injured now, but Toure at 6'7", definitely fits the role.

I guess that will depend on on how the OA situation gets resolved when he returns. Team muscle can't be exclusively on defense, hard cycles and physical play needs to be at both ends of the ice.
Don't get me wrong, I won't be angry if they pick up Xhekaj, I just think assets are better spent in other places, and they already have a penalty problem.

honestly, im not sure if hamilton is in any rush to move him either, its hard to find players like that.

I agree. I am not sure Brantford is going to be doing any further selling. They may trade Jorian Donovan and that likely would be all they will do. They were able to rebuild their draft pick cupboard last year and a number of good young players with the trades they made.

Not disputing that. In fact welcome it.

Sure. You line up Xhekaj opposite Stonehouse first shift, and Stonehouse is invisible for the game.
But a guy like Arnsby will accept the challenge and 2 min PP, then a Battalion player shatters the ankle of Dvorsky in retaliation of the attack on their captain

Alternatively, Stonehouse with convince Xhekaj to punch him, draw a powerplay for his team and move on with life.

Not vs Hamilton in 2nd half games I watched last season, literally kneeled before (Thomas?) during a scrum.

If it’s just sore you suck it up and punish north bay on the scoresheet. That will make his arm feel better. If it’s broke or has no strength then understandable he sits out.

Hopefully it's nothing major. Timeline on Toure, Mania and Musty sure would be nice. Big game tomorrow, would hate to lose 3 in a row to North Bay this early in the season. Hopefully Papineau has something creative up his sleeve tomorrow with Chromiak. Chromiak/pick(s) package for a solid 04 player sure would be nice.

Does anyone have any insight on where Chromiak might go? Any rumours, any news at all? I haven't heard his name much since Dvorsky came over and I know tomorrow is the deadline to move him

I think the deadline is Friday. That’s the day Dvorsky played his first game.

I fear for Sudbury that you’ll have to accept a low ball offer, if there is one, or waive him.

At the end of the day, if the worst case scenario happens and he’s waived, you have to look at the bright side. Your team is better today than it was before Dvorsky showed up.

You traded away Chromiak for Dvorsky. Such is the market for imports at this time of the season.

Or he returns to Europe to play. Agents will have a say in the end if the OHL team is not a desirable place for Chromiak to play.

Or maybe it says something about the overall quality of ohl management if no team can find space for a potential nhl draft pick.

It is not that teams have no desire. It is more that the teams that might are full. Ottawa is one but already has 2 Euro so can't really make an offer.

That leaves very few teams and GM's know that the wolves are in a tight spot. you are not going to get anymore for him than you would an OA as really that is what he is as an extra Euro. He is someone they have to get rid of therefore teams are not going to make a big offer.

Especially Kingston or teams at the bottom of the standings that can take him off waivers.
