Sure wish they tracked ice time or shift lengths. There could be no complaints that Musty doesn't get the ice time with 2 minute shifts on back to back power plays.
They showed up. Well done.Let's see what kind of FIGHT they have in them in the 3rd.
I know unbelievablesame toxic fans not even happy when team beats a big rivalry, unbelievable.
Up 2-0after 1 and dominating the first. Have to put the nail in the coffin. Can’t let NB get back into the game and then take the lead the way they did. Good fight from wolves to come back and salvaging points. NB dominated the overtime. Sudbury not valuing possession in the extra frame. They have to be better. I don’t care that they won. Not happy with the way they played the second half of the game.I know unbelievable
Both of these teams will make the playoffs - the only thing to play out is how far they will get.I think I agree moving Delic to Center. As well move Giroux down to Center the third line. But a win is a win. I’m sure North Bay fans can’t be happy with the loss.

Agreed about Mania being a strange choice, but the shootout is some voodoo where it's not always the guys you expect that excelCan't comprehend the choice's for shootout.
3rd shooter, score and we win the game and they send out Mania. No offence to him but not seen as a goal score.
They had Giroux, Delic, Goyette, Konyen all available and went with a D to win
I understand they won, but it was in spite of the coaching
I hate when fans judge on shootout choices...obviously never played the game at any competitive level. Shootout situations are toyed around with at every practice in some form or another. These choices are based off of what is seen at practice. If a D man shows a knack for scoring in a 1 on 0 situation in practice there's a good chance he'll get a crack at in a game. In this case Mania actually does have some slick mitts, although I'm speaking as someone who has only watched parts of 2 practices this season and 1 of them Mania was still rehabbing early in the season. The point is that shootout chances are earned at practice and not a lot of fans have eyes on practice regularly. Can't comprehend the choice's for shootout.

I'd go as far as say deception is probably the most important skill in the shootout. Mania is one of the best on the team when it comes to using feints and deception to change up angles.I hate when fans judge on shootout choices...obviously never played the game at any competitive level. Even funnier is just prior to that the “little guy” asked McCallum to go and he declined and that was his response. Soft, soft, soft player.Had to chuckle at McCallum. He gave the " to small gesture" to the bay player. It's a gesture they use in basketball. Funny stuff.
The coaches regularly ignore the shootout results at practices. They go by instinct during games.I hate when fans judge on shootout choices...obviously never played the game at any competitive level. The coaches regularly ignore the shootout results at practices. They go by instinct during games. I also know that the coach ignores analytics in general. I was pleased the Wolves won however. They've got to do something about all the constant in-fighting on the bench during games. It was pretty bad last night.

Let's talk overtime. Shifts are way too long. Not supporting the puck or maintaining possession in any way.
Here's a different take. One of the problems this team is having is because they play Musty and Dvorsky too much. The top players are "scoring consistently" as they are on the ice so much. Some actually refuse direct coaches instructions to come off. One of the new guys from a trade has commented that he's never been on a team with so little accountability from some of the top players. Further if you want consistent play from some of the others then you have to play them more often and consistently. Its tough getting into the game flow for some of these players. The favouritism on this team, the lack of accountability and the over reliance on a few is well known amongst the players. That also explains why guys like Beck and Mayer and others rejected the Wolves after speaking with some of their buddies on this team. This is entirely on the coaches not at all the players. It’s easy for us to notice how many times we turn the puck over! But I’m sure the same can be said from fans from North Bay. Those are areas where if we improve we will be very difficult to beat.
One must notice though how our top players are creeping up the stat page. Imagine if Musty and Dvorsky played as many games as the top 5 guys. I do have to say our top players are scoring consistently. If we can get more from Giroux, Delic, Pharand, Walton and Villy consistently we would be really .dangerous.
