sounds like you are trying to put someone down without knowing what their duties are or know how much work he does.
im not putting anyone down, I’m seeking clarification on what he did vs other ast gms. Why are you so sensitive to it? if those guys did everything g he did plus they scouted, what did he do to make up. The difference. I’ll probably see papineau next week, I’ll just ask him

most ast gms do that, doesn’t stop them from scouting as well
Doesn’t exactly equate or qualify one to be a head coach. C’mon man, I could run a better powerplay. It makes ZERO sense that our powerplay continues to be this brutal. Blows my mind. This let’s be patient talk is BS. What are earth are they working on at practice? It’s embarassing and the definition of insanity, which of course is doing the same thing and expecting different results. I seem to remember mentioning Mackenzies woeful road record (check and see), I lived it. I hope to hell they never play like they did Wednesday at home. They’d be lucky to have 1500 at the next game. I guess Zulich doesn’t want to spend any more money. If this year’s wasted because of coaching that may be more than even I can take. Again wait and see comparisons with the Petes last year don’t fly. They had made a lot of trades, and it took some time for team chemistry to develop. That is not the current case with the Wolves. A quarter way through the season. Sorry. This team’top line at times (like on the PP) look like a bunch of individuals playing playground hockey.
For those of you who did not see the game, and I suspect that’s a good number of you, that’s precisely what the Soo announcers were saying and I can only imagine with they were saying off-camera.
Even if they played decent against Peterborough, it won’t be enough to inspire confidence in me until they can show some kind of consistency as well as something remotely resembling a powerplay.
They better show up tonight because the Petes are for real if and if it wasn’t for so many penalties last night they would’ve won that game outright.

He’ll probably put his head down and kind of run past you like he’s been doing with me the last few games.

Well the building is sold out tonight which is a good thing I guess, hopefully the boys can show up for that. Really need a win.
Be prepared for constant movement up and down the stairs during play.

Petes had 12 penalties, Battalion 11.

listen I get it. I hear names for gm openings and coach openings all the time, I never heard Mckenzie’s name for any gm or head coaching positions this summer. that’s not a shot at him, just a fact that no other team seemed to suggest he was a candidate. I don’t know if that makes him a bad or good coach, but I do hear other names often that do get hired, see someone like Kyle wellwood and or Derek laxall, which means many teams are talking to them, which means value and demand, i don’t know, I’m surprised they didn’t look at other names but that’s just my opinion

The Petes run of penalties in second is what decided the game. They had runs of four and SIX consecutive penalties whereas the most the Battalion had was three But hey not consequential right.

I say otherwise you said he was part time? that is a shot to me. Not sensitive, tired of all the negativity trying to add to the board. Wolves are currently one point behind Missy for division, tied for 6th overall in the OHL, but you jumped on the bashing bandwagon.

Definitely they're some concerns, like PP, Penalties, leadership, at this point of season, let's see how team reacts, if it is not going well, I'm sure management will address it.

no, I’m asking questions. last year if he wasn’t scouting and not traveling like other ast gms do, then he’s part time. this year with coaching I’m sure it’s a more intense involvement, but last year based on what hockey operation ast gms and not business admin ast gms do, he’s definitely part time,

like I said, I’ll see papineau next week in Whitby, I’ll just ask him about last year. I’ll let you know what he says

Obviously, Ken has been in the community a long time, and has a lot of connections there. A lot of people are going to go to bat to defend him against everything.

you ever thought Mackenzie is not interested in a GM position?

I’m not even taking shots, I’m just trying to figure out what the difference between a traditional full time ast gm like Jan in Ottawa who I saw weekly, vs McKenzie who I had never seen before he became the coach,

I think anyone with any bit of realism in their mind, knows why Ken continues to be employed in Sudbury. It's all about the $, or moreso the lack of willingness to spend.

i have no idea, but his name never popped up in other head coaching duties either. I did. Care if he’s a good or bad coach, im curious what he did last year as an ast gm and how that differed from traditional hockey ops ast gms like Jan in Ottawa, kitcheners ast gm is also an ast coach and scouts a few times a week.

What’s the difference?

that’s what I’m getting at, I believe that he helped and was a nice guy to do tasks from home but not a true ast gm last year that does the bullets, contracts, helps manage coaches and scouts 3:4 times a week in toronto, Ottawa, et Al.

That’s what traditional ast gms do. If Sudbury and McKenzie hassle a different agreement great for everyone, but let’s call it like it is.

Jan? I’ve seen Jan in Windsor as much as toronto, he can drive 3 hours for a game, all ast gms do that for the most part. he drives to Ottawa weekly, he’s all over her place, that’s part of his job, he does it well

like I said before that is not model with the Wolves he was involved in hockey operations. Mike Taylor is the scout. Also you see these guys weekly because they live down south. Anyways say hello Papineau please get the scoop for us.

the drive from Windsor to toronto is t much different then Sudbury to toronto. I do t get why it’s such a bad thing to either ask that a full time ast gm be that. Or just acknowledge hey, he’s a great guy and helps out a bit but was not a full time guy. Why get so worked up and emotional about it lol?

Who cares? Semantics of a title?
I bet as 'asst gm' he helped bring in Derek as HC. 😉 IMHO, titles can be quite meaningless. Some people are Managers of nothing, some are Presidents that do nothing. Some are 'assistants to the GM'. Again, who cares. What I know is he is the HC now.
agree.

that too lol
