What a joke to think this isn't a discussion board LOL

News flash; people are going to post their opinions, and my opinion is that this goalie isn't better than the 2 we already had
Yeah, my opinion is that your take is garbage. I love how you can come to a conclusion like this after 2 periods in a blowout type game. Way to really give it time to make an honest assessment. Just looking to be negative.

Not just looking for a reason to be negative.

I see your point in terms of giving him a chance. I'm just not a huge fan of this trade and was expecting a bit more based on what we gave up

good start, a game that we should win at home. I would like to see team close out games better, we got a big lead and get away in playing defence. I thought Vandenberg was good, majority of goals were high end give aways, he did make some key saves during the game.

upcoming road trip will be a really tough one, hope we do well.

Should be a fun time around here trade deadline period . jan10 final day? Not sure the date for o/a. Perhaps the 9th?

Anywho it's going to be exciting. Unfortunate for the ones who might be moved but , it's part of the process. This board should be on fire leading up to and on the final day.

Vandenberg had a good game. Made the bigger saves in the opening period to weather any kind of pressure Kingston attempted. Sudbury then took over. Second period with a 7-0 lead it was obvious Sudbury let up and gave Kingston space and time to operate. Hence the 3 goals on Vandenberg. Not entirely his fault on 2 of the 4 goals. Maybe could of had 1. But the difference was he didn't let soft shots in. Closed up his legs and limited rebounds. I think his game will be a difference for the Wolves. People on here need to cut him some slack. That is a lot for a young player to take on in one weekend. New teammates, new billets, new rink, travelled after playing Friday night in Niagara and being told he was dealt. I see a good style in him. I believe it was a good deal with Vondras gone for 8 games. As well we need the depth imo.

As for Signoretti. What a find. He fills that role wonderfully. Good hustle, knows the position well, gets back defensively. Unfortunate this kid wasn't able to play earlier in the season. For a 4th line player or affiliate call up I have no issue with him.

hard game to judge goaltending. i thought he looked to be an OHL caliber goalie. Where he fits on the spectrum between great and poor I have no idea.
Signoretti also looks useful.
Does anyone know Yearwood's story. Was he a 15th round pick because of lack of viewings due to covid. did he say he was going NCAA route. anything. Again maybe not a star but a useful player who could play on almost any team.
I am not being negative as it was a very good game in the first. then the score and the inevitable came out. Very much like Friday,\. the played played good for about 50 minutes and had a bad 10 minute spell in the second. Two things. QM shoot the puck. i know you are pass first but at least look at the net once in a while. I also wished in both games once the lead was comfortable. close the game out. Play tight and close the game out. This team leaks goals. Against bad teams it does not matter but look what happened versus Barrie. . they are going to need that skill and mindset going forward so practice it now.

Yes, completely agree with you, Vandenberg had a good game, I like his movement and don't forget, it must be hard for a goalie to stay focused when you see very little action or rubber in the first period, I thought he did pretty good, stayed focused, and when I first heard of the Signoretti trade and saw his size, I was worried we were getting another Mauro, I was proven wrong, and always wanted the 4th line to improve and it did, ,not only good hustle, but makes the others on the line play better, I thought Taylor had one of is better games and I give the credit to Signoretti, I hope our luck is starting to change.

Final 3in3 before the Christmas break. Flint, Saginaw and London. Dvorsky and Vondras will be away at World Juniors. Hopefully the rest of the team is healthy; does anyone know if Delic is back this weekend? Let’s hope the Wolves are able to catch a couple of the home teams already focusing on Christmas dinners with their families and can grab some points on this trip.

Anyone else hearing some troubling news regarding Delic’s injury being potentially long term? A reliable source mentioned possibly season ending.
