Nothing funny about $5 beer. I might have a couple rather than nearly $5 coffee
Sorry dirty and others who think they might do the same, if you buy it you are only encouraging to pull this and similar stunts.
I try not to rant about "Game Experience" too much on this site because I am old and dont want to be the guy yelling get off my lawn, however I want to get a couple of things off my chest now.
I have been going to OHL games since the late 70s in Kitchener. I like going to the games. I like hockey.I like to talk to people at the game about the game or just things in general. I have lived in 4 OHL cities and have seen games in just about every rink and some rinks that arent in the league anymore. Even during the worst of the Burgess years I went to games even if it was just to see the talent on the other teams. This is likely the biggest insult I have seen to a teams fans. It is unprofessional and not worthy of a serious organization.
Do you know what else can go. The american Eagle and In Must we trust, Mr Shortside, thie winking David Goyette and whatever the one was they introduced last night. Do you know who doesnt do crap like that. Well run organizations that win because they dont have to do childish things to draw attention to themselves.
Also if you are going to run a public service video before the game like last night, Have your video people test run it first in a empty building to see if it is intelligible. If not why bother. I have no idea what that was about except if something about seniors and the united way.
Lastly I will say the music is better than it has been in past years, however I dont need the PA announce yelling at me to make noise every 5 minutes or so. And dont get me started on the attempts at karaoke. Sweet Caroline is way too original and take me home country roads is just so Canadian and or Sudbury. If you want to do it, find something Canadian and or original. What took off in Colorado was because it grew organically and not driven by some screaming PA man.
My rant is over. I will still go to games because I like hockey. My only form of protest I now have is to not buy the Christmas presents I normally do at the team shop and no concessions for this year. something tells me I wont miss it.
