Sorry but Goyette not getting invited to camp, considering Owen f***ing undrafted 19 year old 24 pts in 27 games Allard got invited, is nothing more than a sick joke.

There are not 30 better Canadian junior players than Goyette right now, regardless of what shortcomings you believe he has. Every player still playing CHL hockey has shortcomings that they need to work on.

It’s only about building a winning team. According to those choosing the team, there are at least 30 better options than Goyette to build a winner.

Especially in net lol

As long as they win it all nobody can criticize their selections… A lot of players who played WJ for Canada never played a single game in the NHL.

Who’s back in the line up tonight ? Delic Walton Anania ?

It's a complete farce that Goyette and Musty didn't get invites.

All the negative talk about things that they don't do well is hogwash. You could say the same about every single player that got the invite. At the end of the day, their production and play warrants them to be invited.

It's simply politics when you consider the kids that got chosen over them.

I also think the team they play for has a huge affect (London, Kitchener, Kingston and even Soo). I couldn't believe some of the selections.

I think Allard was a surprise especially over the likes of Bryce McConnell-Barker who was invited to the Team Canada summer camp

i dont believe it is a joke Goyette and Musty did not get invites. Both are talented players however i think need to play on the first two lines and powerplay. They do not give the impression they are penalty killers or shut down players. Not a criticism just a fact. So if that is the case and the projections of some who are the top two lines, it is certainly a defendable position that they are not in the top 6 forwards in their age group. While Goyette can slot into all three forward spots Musty is a winger.

Musty reminds me a lot of Benoit Pouliot. Lots of talent but a penchant for the bad penalty and too many penalties.

C’mon, players on teams from SSM, Peterborough, & NB got invites.

Unless the politics you refer to stem from some unknown dislike of wolves’ management, there is probably not any anti-Sudbury conspiracy
It is a surprise to no one that the Petes, Owen Beck was invited given that he was on the team last year and his championship pedigree.

All of them are still out according to the game sheet

Vondras was having a pretty good game until that stinker of a second goal. They need to tie him to the net though, he cannot handle the puck.

Team itself looks bad, not sure they've put together two passes in a row all game. Hopefully the game can show up for the third, still winnable.

Still winnable yes, but the 5 regulars missing are taking a toll. Team looks a tad lost and a few chances where they were still trying to make one “extra pretty” pass and then the opportunity was lost.

Vondras coming out of the net is one of his biggest weaknesses. I've been critical of his decisions since joining Sudbury. I'm not too fond of it when he leaves the net; it makes me nervous every time.

Unfortunately I don’t need to watch the 3rd period to write my painful observations of this game/team.
I can’t remember ever watching a team play so disjointed and individual hockey. Almost every player never supports a teammate when we have possession of the puck. We are leading the league in one new stat: we are #1 fo BHBPs. Back Hand Blind Passes. Also leading the league in BHBPs over 20ft.
We rarely shoot the puck, choosing to globetrotter it over the goal line.

I believe the reference was to winning organizations rather than big markets. Nobody has won and developed more than the Soo and London recently. Both teams have had multiple players on the junior team almost every year for the better part of 2 decades. Peterborough just won the Championship and North Bay has won a lot lately as well.

You could say that again. 🙂

Wolves do not deserve OT here, penalty call was completely bogus. This linesmen pair has been terrible all night

I am starting to think there are people on this board who actually WANT the Wolves to play bad, just so they have something to complain about. They tie the game, and the first comment I see is someone whining about how they didn't deserve it. LOL

Hopefully they can turn this from the least deserved point of the season to the least deserved two points.

Allard scooped the puck back with his stick, not his gloves. Sorry ohl officiating is bad.
