I agree with Wolfman Jack, no more personal attacks. As Wolves fans and posters on this board we are bewildered, frustrated and upset with 5 straight losses but we need the be better with our posts. Referring to age of the coach and players being dumb aid a poor reflection of who we are as fans.
Yes, changes will happen and players will come and go but what we type here does affect some people who follow and read the posts.
We can talk about style of play and comment on what we think can improve it. Or hypothetical trades of who we’d like to see join the Wolves……he’ll I don’t care what is posted but no more personal attacks. As WJ states, it’s a performance/development league and players/coaches and management will be judged and evaluated accordingly. No matter what we Write or how frustrated we get.
Go Wolves Go.
Amen. Especially the ageism. Show some class and give it a rest.

Historically the Wolves gear up for London and play lights out. I still cannot forgive them for ending our win streak in 2004/05.
Right the games are usually close but I’d be interested to know the last time they beat them.

Wow, after yrs of suffering, honestly thought this would be a fun year, with an exciting team to watch, it's getting painful to watch, i don't get the small problems that can be fixed, nothing personal but Mauro doesn't belong, fix the Larmand/McCallum problem, get rid of them both and get a OA with leadership and character, doesn't have to be a star before there are none available, reunite the Goyette, Delic and Konyen line, try something new pleeease.
What is the issue with Landon McCallum? Is it h the penalty that he takes or is it something about his game or his attitude? I obviously have not watched Sudbury as much as Wolves fans have but what I have seen in the games against Peterborough is he is a player that plays with a bit grit and can provide offence. Contending teams need those type of players in addition to more skilled players in their lineup particularly in the playoffs. That is why the Petes went out got Cam Gauvreau last year. His brother Brayden is quickly becoming a fan favourite in Peterborough because of the way he plays.

He doesn’t play with grit. He’s a cheap shot after the whistle, hiding behind the refs tough guy. Kind of like your McCallum, punched Therrien in the BACK of the head 3 times and then wouldn’t fight. Soft undercover tough guys. Talented skilled but both are too focused on the extra shit

Lando is as an important piece to this team as anyone, play making, goal scoring and his players love him. A great skater which makes him so important on the pk. Say what you want but most teams would love to have him.

North Bay wouldn’t take him for free. I know this is an accurate statement for a fact.

I agree. He offers the physical play that any successful team needs. His brother is a big part of the Petes future. I see Brayden McCallum as a future Peterborough Petes captain.

Ok, he's not old. He's just historically bad at his job.

This is a roster with 8 players who are considered NHL prospects, 2-3 more who should be drafted this summer. And they're 2 points from being out of the playoffs.

Five teams by my count now have made the decision to part ways with their coach this year.

They need to fire the coaching staff. But it doesn't look like they will, so expect more of the same with a couple added players over the next month or two.

Maybe Ben Leeson can write an article in the Star about our embarrassing power play (a historically low 8% after 20 games with all kinds of NHL drafted talent) and all individual play that is being brought up. I wonder why this team has such trouble....
I don't see Ben ruffling feathers.

Hey I hear Caputi is looking for a job.

Seriously you need a guy that has the gravitas and ability to demand respect.

People keep saying that this is the team to beat but frankly, I don't see it. I also don't see adding players from another team to this dog and pony show.

with the players you have there is no way the PP should be the worst in the league.

Making trades for star players right now would just be wasting future draft picks,

Someone in the dressing room needs to start banging heads and holding the "stars" accountable.

The other challenge is the longer you wait the less likely you are to find someone in the middle of winter to move to Sudbury that is a good coach.

Down five spots in one week. Ouch.
This weekend should confirm whether we are in actual free fall. Would anything be done is the question and if so what are the options. Sure hope the flu bug had more to do with it than we know. I think it’s a leadership issue starting with the coach and “star players” who seem to want to run the show.

The local papers might as well be paid by the team. We saw that back in the Burgess years, when it took a soo paper to actually call out the Wolves for the mockery they were making of the league.
Good point. The last years of the Burgess era saw the franchise hit rock bottom.

No argument here. I suffered through his mediocrity decades ago.

Makes a good argument, but the underlying numbers tell the story. This teams needs structure. The power play is a mess and the d-zone coverage is ok at best. Limiting shots from the opponent starts in the neutral zone. KMac should watch some Frank Corrado videos on structure teams are using and see if he can learn a thing or two.
