Wow did I just see the Petes just beat Oshawa after being down 5-0. Beck with the hattie! I saw an Oshawa player get a 5 minute major for a spear and game misconduct however the North Bay player only received a double minor for a spear vs Sudbury. I guess the officials are just as inconsistent in this league.

What an absolutely insane comeback it was for the Petes!!! Down 5-0 after the first and the Petes scored 3 in the 2nd, 2 in the third and Captain McCoy with his 2nd OT winner of the weekend, outshooting the Gens 45-19!! There is no quit in this team

That's what happens when you have a team that plays for each other and has a solid leadership group. It's obviously carrying over from the playoff run you had.

Most impressive thing is the play of second year forwards McCue and McCallum. They are hard to play against. I like the development.

I agree with Wolfman Jack, no more personal attacks. As Wolves fans and posters on this board we are bewildered, frustrated and upset with 5 straight losses but we need the be better with our posts. Referring to age of the coach and players being dumb aid a poor reflection of who we are as fans.
Yes, changes will happen and players will come and go but what we type here does affect some people who follow and read the posts.
We can talk about style of play and comment on what we think can improve it. Or hypothetical trades of who we’d like to see join the Wolves……he’ll I don’t care what is posted but no more personal attacks. As WJ states, it’s a performance/development league and players/coaches and management will be judged and evaluated accordingly. No matter what we Write or how frustrated we get.
Go Wolves Go.

That was blatant spear on Sam Mayer. Bennett Sennecke skated by and speared Mayer as he lay down on the ice after being injured (he returned to the game). It was a dirty and classless play. He deserved the five minute major and should face a lengthly suspension for his actions.

McCue, McCallum, Melee, Lefebvre, Purdeller have all become legit options for this team. A much needed development this season

I have no doubt it hurt as I’m sure it did for Coughlan. I’m pointing out the difference between two officials in two different games on the same infraction.

yes I know there’s lots of areas of weakness and problems but from the goalie lense, a 17 year old kid gets told he’s getting his first OHL start last minute against a packed rival house, in an away game while the team is struggling because as Leeson said in his article both rostered goalies can’t go. I played Jr hockey that’s a tough position to be in. If nothing more there is potential there. Good on the kid.

Yeah, whether he played well or not, no one should be blaming Gaulton for anything.

It would be nice for our goalies to make some saves but the defense is a big problem too. Outmuscled by smaller players, bad reads, horrible giveaways, soft PK, forwards going to the wrong spots when they don't have the puck,, poor overall team structure, etc. Looking at the team on paper, our goalies should simply need to be solid.

Our special teams need some help too as they have been terrible for the past two years at least. The Wolves are last in the league for PP and 14th for PK. Something or someone needs to be changed

I do think in some games are d-men get blamed too much. IE the game against the Petes, the Wolves limited them to 24 shots, the D did a great job for the most part. In general this year, they've been very good at limiting shots on net.

Wolves need a new look before London Friday a win can instill a lot of confidence and a new approach going forward. The talent is obviously there.

Great collection of players, just not a team yet
Success comes from playing like a team! Team first, play for the Wolf on the front not your name on the back. Sacrifice and accept your assigned role on the TEAM. We can blame everyone but until this group of players become this years version of last years Pete’s we ain’t winning anything. If we need leadership to make this happen, then bring it in. Players have to play as a group of 5 with full support all over the ice. We have the pieces with more to come, now gotta accept team concept.

Well that more to come better happen soon or the more to come won’t want to come here. In fact they might not want to come considering the coaching staff. Lots to consider at this time.

They need to fire the coaching staff. But it doesn't look like they will, so expect more of the same with a couple added players over the next month or two.

Maybe Ben Leeson can write an article in the Star about our embarrassing power play (a historically low 8% after 20 games with all kinds of NHL drafted talent) and all individual play that is being brought up. I wonder why this team has such trouble....

Needs to happen but highly doubt it. Old boys club will carry on. Paps/\Zullich don't have it in them to do what's right

Wow, after yrs of suffering, honestly thought this would be a fun year, with an exciting team to watch, it's getting painful to watch, i don't get the small problems that can be fixed, nothing personal but Mauro doesn't belong, fix the Larmand/McCallum problem, get rid of them both and get a OA with leadership and character, doesn't have to be a star before there are none available, reunite the Goyette, Delic and Konyen line, try something new pleeease.
