LMAO. You think you are getting a starting OA goalie plus 2 seconds for an underperforming late first rounder that needs a change in scenery?
Yes!!! What value you expect him to have if your so quick to unload him. I said a second and a conditional one if McCallum plays an OA year.

Tbh we’d be lucky to get one third for McCallum at this point. He’s been massively disappointing.
Tynan hasn’t been that much better let’s be honest. If he didn’t have that team in front of him he be worth less than McCallum by a mile. McCallum still has value believe it or not.

Wolves selected Huyhn in the 7th round. Some have him ranked inside the 1st and no later than a 2nd round pick. Like last year a dman falls that was ranked quite high similar to Noah Cochrane last year. Can anyone shed any light on the reasons for these two picks that happened to get picked mid round. May work out well for Sudbury or they may never materialize here.

Another surprise was getting Walton in the 2nd round who some say could have been a top 5 pick. Drafting his twin brother was solid as well. Wolves are a much bigger and skilled team today. Can hardly wait for training camp and the next two drafts to come.

I agree with you right up until the playoffs started. Tynan has been locked in for the postseason. 3rd in save %, second in GAA, and CHL goalie if the week. You can see the difference in his play.

If we had any chance of contending next season, I would never contemplate this deal. Only suggested it because you seem desperate for a goalie and McCallum seems to have been passed by some on the depth chart, and we have room for a vet forward.

If he was performing at expectations for a late first rounder in his 3rd season (~.8 pts/gm) then I would expect the deal would look more like Tynan + 3rd + conditional 3rd. However, he isn't, so there wouldn't be conditionals because he is undrafted. Tynan + 2 2nds is a non starter. If he was that valuable then Sudbury would never trade him in a season where they are looking to take a big step forward.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who responded. It was great for a few laughs.

So good no deal!!!

And another local Mitchell Martin with his 4th of the series. Both local doing great but Wolves passed on both!
In hindsight I agree wolves whiffed on this one. McCallum 15th, stillman 25th, larmand 26th, McCue 34, anania 71st and Martin 81st. I would argue only stillman was the better pick available.

that draft set them back last year, but made up for it last few draft after.

Cochrane was ranked highly by more than just one person.

Cochrane was ranked highly by more than just one person.
they all follow each others rankings.

why do you think that all ohl teams had him late and all the guys that hang out together and reach each others ranknisg had him top 5 overall?
