Don't mistake upset for passion. Just tired of seeing the same disorganized play. Is it the lack of personel or lack of coaching and developement. Continuous line juggling breeds no consistency. Leave the Delic Konyen and Goyette Line together. It ain't broke so don't fix it. Boudreau Pharand and Larmand seem to have some chemistry. Play McCallum Musty and Degrazia together. Then Asadorian with the kids. Fix your player tracking and defensive zone coverage. Pp1 Collins Goyette Konyen Delic and Pharand, pp2 Toure Holmes Musty Degrazia Villeneuve or Boudreau. Leave the lines for a bit. Too many guys playing multiple positions getting caught out of position in the defensive zone. Having two different looks on the pp is good. Forces other teams to adjust. Walton can also see some PP time in the second unit.

Just my thoughts.

Can you coach?

I'm not the biggest Papineau fan, but I do think they should give another coach a shot before moving on from the GM. I think the scouting/drafting has been a strength of this team.

The consensus from people on the outside of the Wolves organization is they've drafted well. Mania was considered a steal when they got him to report. Musty was ranked top 5-10 in the NHL draft at the start of this year. Chromiak is considered an elite prospect for 2024.

These players are all seemingly stagnating or regressing when they get to the Wolves. Get a real coach who is not on clearance pricing in here.

I haven’t seen many ‘Paps is genius for going four straight priority drafts without selecting a D prior to round 4 or 5’ comments.
Had he made sure to select D in round 2 or 3 in ‘19 & ‘20, the wolves might not have their most talented D being 17 yrs old. Wait for it, 2024-25 will be more fun for wolves fans.

Yes. the wolves needed to select a D in round 3 in 2020, where they *checks notes* did not have a draft pick.
Instead they got Konyen in round 4 who is honestly an incredible value, and Collins in round 5 who i'd argue is one of the better d-men from this draft.

NO ONE and I mean, NO ONE, is saying Papineau is a genius. But to say he's as big of a problem as Duncanson is a complete joke. Duncanson is arguably one of the worst coaches in OHL history and essentially a pity hire for the Wolves after the LU hockey team closed up shop.

2019 draft was definitely not a strong one, but it's arguable that it was a pretty weak draft OHL wide looking back on it now.

From 2019 to 2020 the wolves dropped 3 scouts and added 2 new ones. In every draft since then, the wolves have come out with a lot of praise from folks in the scouting community with no ties to the Wolves. I'll die on the hill that player development is the problem, not scouting. Until we upgrade from our value village head coach, mediocrity is the best-case scenario.

In better news, a few Wolves prospects having good starts to their season.

2022 Draft
Conor Walton(D) 2G 6A 8Pts in 14GP with Espanola in the NOJHL
Marshall McCharles 8G 3A in 17GP with the Cubs in the NOJHL
Blake Wright 4G 9A in 7GP for Ajax in the ETAHL U18

2021 Draft
Andrew Brown(D) leading his team in scoring with 4G 8A in 16 games for Oakville in the OJHL

We all agree Duncanson has to go. The bigger problem if true is that Paps isn’t well liked in hockey circles and reason why this team has trouble making quality deals. Until ‘Fat Elvis’ realizes it the Wolves will find it extremely hard
to get in the playoffs. If they limp in it will only be because some teams decided to sell the farm. Do you ever ask yourself why Burgess never gave Papineau a shot at scouting, asst GM, coach anything under his reign of ownership. Really do have to wonder.

I assume Burgess never gave him a shot because he was looking for yes-men to play his son. Zulich is honestly not a very good owner, walks around bragging about how he'll move the team if he does not get his way. But Burgess was an absolute garbage owner as well.

PS: I thought all Wolves fans had a silent agreement to never speak of the Mark Burgess area again hahaha.

3-1 lead we all knew it wasn't going to hold up. :) they played a good 1 period and a half.

Consistency as in game to game.. not just this game
So far this season IMO it's the best 2 periods of hockey they've played this season. Wish they played like this every game.

Must stay out the box this period. London 2 PP goals.

Another turn over in NZ and Toure caught way to far up ice from n 2-1 the other way.
What about when Collins went in lol three forwards went in as well and the puck was turned over and it was a 2 on 1. Why isn’t a forward laying back. Some guys lack IQ.

Musty turned it over middle of the ice.
