On the bright side, fantastic game by Krawchuk. Gave the Wolves a chance to steal one if not for Simpson stopping 45/45. Hope he continues to shine down the stretch as Brassard isn't looking too good...

Say what you want about the Wolves drafting but they have found great value from the U18 draft: Serensits, Weekes, DeGrazia, Krawchuk

Kid has hit a wall ? 14 points in last 10 games 😂😂😂 and as a winger you really think Zanetti on the goal line was his man ? Serious ?
Look at the goal again. Zanetti was the 4th Pete to come in from the opposite side. He's a D man pinching in our winger should be taking him. Do you expect our D to cover 4 guys. Give me a break. The forwards need to be just as responsible to take a man. Instead of watching the play... survey and pick up any guy creeping in. In this case Zanetti was that guy. You never played the game at a higher level I take it. And the last 10 games goes back to when. I'm talking the last few games since the guy came off his four game suspension. His body language and lack of effort is noticeable. He's not playing like he can. Noticed DMac took him off the PP. Wonder why??? Obviously he sees something too.

What does Forsyth have to do with anything? Isn't he just a player/scout liaison?

So you have no idea who it will be, just like the rest of us.
Sudbury needs to lose the Sudbury connection for management. Enough is enough. Forsyth what the heck that's the same guy who said C.Burgess was worthy of being a 3rd rd pick when he was involved with the AAA Sudbury team that year.

Just a guess: K.Walton or Gaulton + 2023 1st rounder + draft picks <--> Dom & Nelson
Walton wont go anywhere. The twins were drafted together to remain together. That was the deal.

Wolves didn't score early then the game drags on. Power play was a bust again. Not sure where Walton was saw him early not for the bulk of the game. Too much reliance on Musty on the PP. Doesn't have the hockey sense or puck moving skills to play the role. Goyette should be QB on the PP. And he should be playing centre unless Seattle wants him on the wing. I thought Krawchuk was the best player today. The team played like it was their first game together. Didn't seem like there was any chemistry. Then again how can you when you take 8 penalties including a major. No flow. Lines are a mess. Yearwood hasn't done much for me lately. Seems to have lost that physical and on the puck elements that he had at the start of the trade. The good thing is this team can correct themselves as there is still time. Kingston is the team to hurdle now. Oshawa is doing what they need to do. Hamilton keeps rolling along. And Missy is better. It will come down to Kingston and Sudbury.

Nope, I’m not going to say who it is as there are contract issues and throwing his name out will only create the drama that attracts attention. There’s a couple posters on here that are in the know as well. Zulich didn’t know the game when he bought the team, but he has learned enough now to know who is doing the job and who isn’t. In the years since he bought the wolves, there has been zero results with 4 different coaches. Every piece of the puzzle down to the equipment manager, Except Bucky has been changed except one. That will be next.

Agreed although a lot of shots Simpson had to save the TimBit goalie between periods could have stopped them. But yes Krawchuk was the best Wolf today!!!

I never quoted you about Forsyth why is it that you're quoting me. As for the GM. For me at this point its not worth discussing until the season is done. If Zulich knows more good I sure hope he does. Getting rid of Duncanson, Dale, Lund was the start of counter productive people needing to be dismissed. They only stalled the process. The verdict is still out on our GM. I'm mixed on him.

What was the value to the team? They never went beyond the first round.

No I understand that, my pad was going bonkers.

Zanetti wasn’t Goyette’s guy ever. you just got fooled cause Goyette came too low to help out because Delic was out of position along the wall.

You wanna talk hockey where was Robinson and what was he doing gliding and looking at the play way too high ? Not checking anyone on the ice.
Dude the D has faults but they need support. See the Niagara game and what D cost them there. His ranking will plummet over plays like that. Robinson does more good than bad at this point.

WJ

I don’t think he plays hardball with his stars. Musty got 8 minutes in the box and played every shift. He runs the PP even with 0 goals on the PP this year. Goyette has to be injured or something. He carried the team on his shoulders the last two seasons.

That’s called scouting and drafting.

I was thinking the same thing. I’m starting to lose faith in this guy as a coach who is able to instill discipline. By taking these bonehead penalties game after game it sure doesn’t doesn’t look like the players are worried about any kind of discipline. Anyway, if this was the first time you saw the Wolves play, would you think they looked like a well coached team? I can only imagine the heat Duncanson would be taking.

Yes there is talent on this team yes but on the whole no this is not a very good team at all and again, it’s not surprising to see where they are in the standings. Inconsistent or mostly consistently bad goaltending, brutal special teams and a collective selfish and idiotic approach to team discipline.

Add to that over passing the puck, not making the simple play, not taking the shots and on and on . Again there is individual talent on this team yes but on the hole this is not a very good team at all and again it’s not surprising to see where they are in the standings. I could go on and on but I’m actually running out of things to say, we’ll see what happens but I wouldn’t worry about making travel plans this spring.

Well if you want to see the Wolves win - your best bet is to go watch them when they play at home on Friday nights. Had to look it up because lately Friday home games have been enjoyable to watch. Wolves 8-0 in their last 8 Friday home games. Rest of their weekend games haven't been going as great.
