Was that the Wolves first shutout of the season?
Yeah! Ranger had 2 in the preseason, but the first one of the regular season! Great game, excellent team defence, and Krawchuk played very well, Made a number of point blank saves, the more I see of him the I like his play! All of this without our entire 1st line, I like what I’m starting to see from this team!

Very nice ceremony for Marc Staal, it was well done and a class act!

Go Wolves Go!

We can blame the refs all we want, but fact is the Wolves continue to lead the OHL in penalties. Today aside, they need to clean their game up as a whole.

You would think Krawchuk is now the wolves number 1 tender going forward.

3 in 3 next weekend. Home to the sting, road games in sauga and Oshawa.

Good game by the Wolves - but playing most of OT shorthanded isn't a winning formula. This team is physical and hard to play against - Yearwood & Coughlan on the 4th line continue to add this element.

Another strong showing by Krawchuk. Very calm and cool in the net at all times - never scrambles. Seems more positionally sound than Ranger or Brassard as others have mentioned before. Curious to see how management runs the goalies next weekend - each goalie will play once; wonder who will play twice.

there was a Wolves player pulled down near the end of the third, just outside our blue line no call. Most of our penalties were in first half of the season we weren't discipline. I would say we have cleaned that up quite a bit now. I hate blaming the refs, but 2 penalties at the end were questionable to me.

Was MacCallum, Clear trip as he was exiting his own zone with puck. There's no way refs didn't see it. No call so figure ok they are letting them play. Then we get the two penalties. It was as clear as clear could be for me.... One-sided reffing right at the end.

Wolves organization should send this to the league.

Aside from one I thought they played within the game plan of finishing checks and for the most part pressed Barrie all game. The refs let a bunch go for Barrie especially the pick plays. Wolves deserved a better fate in the last ten minutes instead the officials decided to be a factor in what was a very entertaining game. Let the teams play for goodness sake. This league needs to figure out how to have games officiated much better. It’s atrocious. The same can be said for whoever decided on giving Goyette a 4 game suspension.

Next week only Delic is out. Hope to have another solid effort vs Sarnia.

As for Musty’s first game back I thought he was factor and created a ton of good chances. Even the PP had zone time with him. He’s getting to be a force and I can’t wait for another year from now. He and the team will be a treat to watch.
