Truth of the matter is we are 3 points out of dead last in the entire OHL. It's sad. These Wolves need some playoff experience. Papineau has had enough time to assess this team. Ranger has been very inconsistent, especially of late. If Wolves miss the playoffs again it should be bye bye Papineau.

No reason, just wondering.

Also in completely unrelated topics, Ryan Roobroeck looking like he's going to be a great top pick in the OHL draft.

Truth of the matter is we are 3 points out of dead last in the entire OHL. It's sad. These Wolves need some playoff experience. Papineau has had enough time to assess this team. Ranger has been very inconsistent, especially of late. If Wolves miss the playoffs again it should be bye bye Papineau.

Never said anything about hurting his feelings... fact is Papineau uses draft picks to get a goalie for what purpose. We won't have any picks to really make a move next year. He already gave one away for Hage. Gave one away for Ranger, couldn't get anything for Derbidge. Had to get Robinson back after he left for a month. Fact is we don't have a lot to bargain with unless you give up a Delic, or Konyen or Mania. Not going to happen. Goyette, Musty and Collins are untouchable. 19 year old guys won't get more than a 4th or 5th. So really we have no options but to run with what we have. That's the truth. We needed Hage or Dvorksky to fall on our lap to give us the necessary depth to make a move. We can't get weaker for next year to get two home playoff games this year imo. Its a waste. North Bay is loaded, Ottawa will be loaded, the Petes and Barrie will get deeper. Even Oshawa moved out Moore today cause they see it as well. No sense in spending for nothing.

Well lets hope the Wolves don't just limp into the playoffs. I would rather not make it than be embarrassed. Would like to see us get in the top 2 again to have a shot at Moore or Rorboreck.

And thate the problem , who the heck said next year is our year? Could it be the following? Who made that up? Seriously.

I don't worry about which player showing up or not I'm only concerned who's on the ice now.

And you can't have an OA goalie losing you games or not giving your team a chance to win. That's his job.

Allow me to disagree. The investment this season is key. You can’t have two seasons without making the playoffs. This team needs to build a winning mentality starting now. Get rid of Larmand Delic can do better and brings more offence with McCallum and DeGrazia. Get a good goalie and a good RW like Hayes.

Entertaining game, Wolves deserved a better fate and was a good effort being short handed. Still don't understand about Toure. I thought Villenuve played a great game, plays a solid 200ft game and motoring out there. If we can tweak and make a few moves no reason we can't make the playoffs.

Well slow feet on D when you tie the game up and get caught and then have to take a desperation type play which causes a penalty vs this team with a potent PP will burn you all the time. Certain D who continue to think they can take chances and not protect their own end cost us along with Ranger who could not make a big save when we needed one.

I have to give credit to the forwards who played hard tonight and controlled most of the play.

I agree Delic deserves more ice time. Why he isn't on the PP more is beyond me. And I also agree to deal Larmand and bring up Delic on that line. Why he's playing a third line I don't understand. Wasting his skill. he creates space and offence all the time.

Assadourian pasted to the bench again for most of the third. I don't think that's been our best 2nd round pick. We missed on that one.

I feel we deserved at least one point tonight.

If we don’t upgrade in net all these hypothetical trade scenarios won’t mean squat. Why not give Krawchuck the start? McKenzie is proving to have some idiotic tendencies of his own. Pulling the goalie with almost 3 mins left. Wolves with boneheaded penalties, last man back walking the blue line, letting the Barrie player get way behind them when they’re killing a penalty! Duncanson must be laughing his ass off. I can see the mashing of teeth and whining if he was still the coach. Same garbage, rinse, wash and repeat.

You're not wrong!!! Our forwards were rolling but why all the D think they can jump up on the offence all the time. If this team had some solid Defence and goaltending we would be in 2nd place! Toure needs to play defence or trade him.

Derek Mac spin on this one is going to be the same. We deserved better...we controlled the play... we were short players.... I will wait for the end of game interview. Should be the same video just a different suit.

Some D and the goaltending is really hurting this team from making ground.

NB as always been proactive, I really like what they have been doing. Niagara starting to sell, Wolves should look at one of their goalies.

No, if we upgrade let’s make it count. They’re both mediocre.

Make a few moves Papineau. Get creative. Change of scenery type moves. Might be some lateral moves, not full in buy mode or sell mode, but add a few new faces to the mix and it could do wonders. I would target Zhigalov in net and one of the Fronts OA Dmen in a blockbuster trade. Ranger, a few good picks, and maybe Derbidge/Bishop. Then sell Holmes to the highest bidder. Get some good picks back. Larmand dealt for a pick or two. Dump D.Robinson for a pick somewhere or release. Then deal for A.Hayes for Assadourian and picks. Would change the complexion of the team. A team that could and should make the playoffs with an upgrade in net with Zhigalov. Upgrade on the backend over Robinson, and adding a top goal scorer in A.Hayes. Put Toure back on defence. Do something Papineau get creative

Well lets be honest... Nothing has been done all year to improve the roster. What do you think he's going to do come dead line go all in? We play North Bay 7 more times. We won't win any of those. We still have to play London, Petes a couple more times, Barrie a couple more times, Hamilton if they don't sell any of their guys they will be tough to play and we have them a few times. Flint, Owen Sound, Windsor. Those teams will all be better. I think we can limp in the playoffs but really who wants to see that? Not me.
