McCullum has been our best player on many nights, inside the blue line he is as good as any player in the OHL. He should be wearing the C next year just on his work ethic alone.
I'm as big a McCallum fan as anyone but...1 decent 1/2 season out of 3 doesn't earn a letter C. He in my opinion has only started to show his worth since the coaching change. Before that I think its fair to say that most would not have missed him had he been traded for whatever a 1st Rd under-achieving pick could get you. I do thing hes a top 5 player on the team, especially with some Playoff hockey in our forecast. I do see him as a leader on the ice...but I do not think he will ever wear a C for the Wolves. All IMO of course.

He's actually been good all year. He was playing well under Dunc. He's the type of player that was always going to be a good 19, 20 year old OHL player in my opinion.

We don't see what happens in the room(unless someone here does), so we only see half of the story. By watching games I see three candidates, Delic, Goyette or McCallum.

Landon Edgar McCallum had a great game as well. Best player on the ice tonight.
👍🏒😉
Edgar huh...
I’m very excited for Wolves hockey next season. From an outsider’s perspective obviously I don’t know the inner goings of the team but it’s such a great core and the future looks very bright. Something is telling me DiVincentiis is gonna be Sudbury bound next season and hey why not Nelson too:naughty:
Now that's quite the wishlist

On their play alone Delic and McCallum deserve a letter next year. Who knows happens in the room and on the bus? But these kids are clearly leading on the ice with the push for the playoffs. Totally agree that he longer to develop. But nice to see McCallum show his worth to this team. Hopefully even more playoffs and next year.
Leadership group next year should be Goyette, Delic, McCallum and Collins. Just my opinion. Let’s get after that 4th spot with some wins boys!

Hmm nothing posted on media notes...as yet.

Maybe just maybe Larmand gets a break..
Man I don’t know, from what some are saying, because he’s a repeat offender he could get the book thrown at him. I wonder what the typical course of action is. Anybody? Honestly though you’ve been watching long enough though man you gotta know it’s very unlikely we get a break.

I was looking at some sats out of curiosity and saw that the Wolves are only five goals behind Ottawa for most scored in the conference. I figured they scored their share of goals but huh. Goes to show you though, offence has never been the problem. As many of us have pretty well been saying all year, it’s been the defence and goaltending. I’d throw special-teams in there too. Their only going to be as good as their weakest link so hopefully they can tighten things up. Still going to need great goaltending to really do any damage though. Not good, but great. It remains to be seen if we can get that. I think it’s all on Krawchuk.

Also, does anyone have the stats on when we actually last beat London? It seems like forever and ever to me so my early Christmas wish is that we actually beat these guys tomorrow night.

Edgar was meant to be a funny response to my use of initials. Sorry, I don’t know his middle name. No offence to anyone named Edgar….

I’m guessing review process like every other supplement discipline incident. Aggravating circumstances here: 3 time repeat offender and the Soo player was a young call up (I’m guessing) as he had a gage on. That’s probably not gonna be favourable….

Man you try play physical but I got to question a player who repeatedly crosses the line despite knowing and having already suffered the consequences . Pretty self defeating.

What's the outlook for your Pete's next season? Rebuild? And good rookies this season?

Definitely in a rebuild and it will be a full on one that we really haven't seen in a long time especially not under the Oke/Wilson era. Will be selling everything we can next season and most likely in the mix for a lottery pick.

I'm thinking this maybe the case. But still early. I'm assuming the fellow who gave the cross check to the mouth will be suspended as well assume.

I hope you are both right, but this delay scares me. I think they’re deciding how high to lift the hammer?
Sometimes the league is slow to release certain things. If suspended I'm sure he and the team already aware. I guess wait for the lineup tonight.

My guess is he would be up on the board as Indef. or TBA prior to the next game (i.e.: tonight) if discipline was in the works. Based on Battalion’s Liam Arnsby’s (previous suspendee) experience from 2 weeks ago, blindside 5 + Game, no suspension, he might be OK.

Agreed. The intent was not to be careless it was finishing a check. The Soo player was moving backward and when contact was made it happened to just catch him in the head as he was moving to avoid the check. No malicious intent to injure the player. Unfortunate yes. I can see them not suspending him for this as they did with Arnsby.

Right on! As you and many of us on here have been saying for what seems like decades, "Defence wins championships". This seems to continually be a weak point....well except in the odd season like when UPL was here.

I hope you are right! Great breakdown.

Having to take this one in from the TV, I know wolves fans love to complain about other commentary teams, but ours has to be among the worst.

Still in the first period and they've confused Villneueve with Goyette at least 5 times already, and have gotten multiple London Knight players names incorrect, my favorite being Olivier Bonk.

I was pumped prior to puck drop. Now, not so much. Very talented London club. Built very well. Let's see how wolves respond.
