Here is a list of the top 10 in points currently who are eligible & likely to return next season:

Poitras (GUE)
Goyette (SBY)
Barlow (OS)
Hayes (FLNT)
Lockhart (PBO)
Maillet (WSR)
Musty (SBY)
McConnell-Barker (SOO)
Nelson (NB)
A.Christopoulos (WSR)

They will be quite the combo next year - can't wait. I personally see Goyette finishing top 5 in points.

My post may have confused some people. I was trying to show a depth chart where we add a D via trade. I have Mania on the top pair here (that's questionable right now, I know) & not suggesting a trade
So I don’t quite understand, do you think he should be traded or not? I think even the slightest notion of trading him is ridiculous. A rushing defence man with his wheels?

I don't think he should be traded lol. I was trying to show a depth chart/line combo like this

I agree that the East doesn't look particularly strong & quite wide open as of right now. The West will be the class of the league with London, Saginaw, Owen Sound, Guelph.
Flint looks good too imo. They can use some of 5-‘06 born picks by round 3 to make player + picks transactions

Still lots of roster construction to be done by all teams, but on paper Sudbury is my favourite for the Central next year as of right now. I think their main competition is Barrie. North Bay will lose lots of players after going on two deep runs and will likely sell their veterans next year similar to Hamilton this year. Mississauga I think is one year away from being a contender. Niagara is Niagara. Ottawa looks to be strong again & lead the East division.

Sudbury
Barrie
-----------
North Bay
Mississauga
-----------
Niagara
The Battalion will still be loaded on D & G with ‘04 born and likely have 3-OA forwards. With the picks to be returned to NB from the Fantili deal in addition to picks NB may be able to recoup in trades for Christopolous, Hislop, Bruztowski as OA D the Battalion could wait another season to re-tool.

Barrie has already traded away 3-‘04 born; two of their best from that draft. They seem like a very likely candidate to re-tool.

That's fair.

For comparison's sake, here are the returning lineups that I'm comparing, not including future trades:

Musty 05 - Delic 04 - Goyette 04
Villeneuve 06 - McCallum (OA) - Pharand 05
Coughlan 05 - K.Walton 06 - Konyen 04
Yearwood 04

Collins 04 - Mania 05
Anania (OA) - Toure (OA)
C.Walton 06 - Chromiak 05

Krawchuk 05
Gaulton 06

Jelsma 04 - Frasca OA - Matthews 04. (Rough estimate)
York 04 - Wigle 04 - Beaudoin 06
Lowe 06 - Grisolia 05 - Jodoin 04

Punnett OA - Akey 05
Tiller 05 - Aitcheson 06

Thornton OA

Van Steensel 04 - Zito OA - Wakely 04 (Rough estimate)
Procyszyn 06 - Arnsby OA - Romani 05
Therrien 06 - Bouchard 05

Mathurin 04 - Nelson 04
Lukin 04 - P.Christopoulos OA
Turley 06 - Kennedy 05

DiVincentiis 04
Robertson 05

Actually I can see now how NB could try for a third year in a row due to a weak division. Barrie looking weaker now when you limit them to 3 OA's. This doesn't take into account imports & draft picks.

Mania is pretty underrated here. He isn't really getting the minutes his play warrants, and that can be seen in his Pts/60

An 18 yr old very high NHL picked import on loan could have a huge impact on an OHL team, for sure.

I am (guessing) that NB is high on Kennedy and tries to get both Turley and Rismond in the rotation at 17, so there would be no OA D in that case. Also because NB will need picks (guessing) Christopolous goes

I see Erie, Kitchener and Pete’s being in the most vulnerable spot next year look g to regain some draft capital. Pending who is awarded the Mem. Cup I could see some trade partners pending the outcome. Whoever losses the bid will start a full fledge re-build (Soo and KTown). Niagara has proven to be somewhat unpredictable so you never know how they will proceed with or without being the Mem. Cup hosts. Some interesting high impact players could be available later this year.

Well with Hamilton losing tonight and only having two games left in the season one being vs the Wolves here next Friday. Sudbury takes three of the last four remaining games including the Hamilton one we will be ahead of them in the standings. Wolves have North bay, Barrie, Hamilton and the Soo.

Let go Wolves!!!

If Delic hadn’t missed significant time with an injury he might be up there in points as well… gonna be fun for sure. Villineuve needs to be the driver on the second line with????

Musty - Delic - Goyette could be among the very best lines in the league next year. I agree that Delic could have a big year offensively next year. I'm very comfortable with him as our #1 C going into next season - especially considering how good he has been lately.

I think Villeneuve & Pharand have the ability to be ~PPG players on a second line next year.

I find that, the Wolves have too many true Centers, some are playing out of position. Delic, Goyette, Pharand, Villeuneuve, McCallum, Larmand. I believe sometime this might hurt some players development having to play on the wing, when they have been accustom to playing Center in minor hockey. I think upcoming draft have to focus on true wingers, and defenders.

I look at McCallum, since Larmand suspension, he has excelled at the Center position and hopefully he remains there if Larmand comes back. I feel Pharand on the wing is not best for his development, but we have a surplus of Centers, I feel next season they should look at moving him at Center permanently. This made Assadourian expendable.

Goyette seems adaptable on the Wing or Center. Must be a real juggling act for Derek Mckenzie with having alot strength up the middle.

Delic will have to start winning face offs if he wants to stay with our two best players. He’s on the first line because we don’t have a better option now. On a championship team he can’t be on the first line. No way.

I'm a big fan of Delic, I think he helps drive the first line, they have good chemistry. I looked at his face-off percentage it is around 48 percent, so yes can improve there, taking face-offs is important but that line carries the team.

Very low chance Dvorsky reports next year in my opinion, so they'll probably be drafting an import W or D

Goyette and Musty needs a finisher they don’t need Delic to be good. The last two years Goyette had everyone produce with him. I like Delic too but man keep it real he’s not a necessity and misses so many plays because he’s not on the same level.

IMO Delic responsible for that line, handles the Center position on both ends well for them. He has 47 points in 42 games has 20 goals, he's more than a point a game this season. I'm good with Delic, sure if we get Dvorsky next season put him on that line.
