I liked Laf's game tonight. I'm not sure what's going on with Kakko. It's not for a lack of effort. He's just not getting results is all. But to be fair to him, that whole top line isn't doing much 5v5.
The second line has stopped getting results too. It’s all PP anymore. They scrapped together for that Cuylle goal, which is nice, but celebrating it as a “win is a win,” isn’t seeing the forest for the trees. There are some concerning signs that need rectification.

I think I'm the only native NYer in existence who never liked that show.

I feel that way with regards to Friends.

Wild were the eyes of a work horse named Chris Kreider
One who smiled when he scored on the play

My guess with Fox is hyperextended knee out for a week or so. Not sure he would’ve played another shift if it was worse but well
see.

Chytil may have a wrist issue after that collision with Fast. It was later when he left and I didn’t see anything else. Did anyone notice something?

Good call, probably is his wrist or hand.

You know I know this. 5v5 is much harder and more random to produce. I feel like Laf and Panarin work well together. Kakko, I don't know what's up. But I agree. They're needed if we want a Cup. We have seen what happens when only a couple of guys are leaned on too heavily to win. But there are also some positive signs too. For one, they didn't just roll over and die. They actually battled for this win. Normally they'd have a hang over from the road trip and stink it up. I think Laf did a lot of good things tonight. It's too bad that line didn't score. I just don't know what's up with Kakko.

That was a great win against a good team after a long road trip. Absolutely no complaints.

Laf had a very good game. Very involved.

Kakko will produce more away from a top line. Let him go back to a third line and he’ll get his 35-40 pts. But a top line player he is not. He’s terrified of the middle of the ice. He doesn’t want to be a scorer. Not in this league at least. He’s content being a worker bee
