Even without getting any points, Lafreniere looks like a completely different player compared to the last few years.. The way he's carrying the puck through the NZ and in the OZ is night and day. He's not just trying to keep up, he's finally holding the puck and navigating around and trying to make things happen. He's skating noticeably smoother now with the puck on his stick this year too. There's way less "kid just happy to be here and content to be a support player" in his game this year, he's playing like he's a play driver on the team and he's going to lead. I really like what I've seen from him.

The second line has stopped getting results too. It’s all PP anymore. They scrapped together for that Cuylle goal, which is nice, but celebrating it as a “win is a win,” isn’t seeing the forest for the trees. There are some concerning signs that need rectification.

No one really did anything 5v5 for either team. That’s how it played out and they were able to score the only goal at ES down their best D and a top 6 forward.

Aho is a giant prick & a bit of a p***y, but seeing the replay, it really doesn't look like he did anything intentional. I don't see him sticking his leg out at all.

#37 is on par with Marchand IMO as far as dirty play goes.

#20 hangs at the other blue line while his team plays D most of the nite.
