It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. Neither Andlauer nor Staois have been all that "complimentary" in terms of where the team is right now. There hasn't been a lot of talk about, for example, being ready to win now. Most of it has been about the amount of work they need to do.
Maybe it's just setting expectations low.
But I remember when Melnyk and Muckler came in, it was "we're ready to win the Stanley Cup and that's our only focus". Andlauer and Staios are more "we have some level of foundation but there's a ton of work to do."
My hunch is we're going to see more change than people expect, both off and on the ice. Everyone from the "core" may not be here next year...
It's a fresh start for everyone. With the exception of a few guys (Tkachuk, Stutzle, Sanderson), I think Staios will be taking a look at everyone to determine whether they fit.
