Seems unbelievable that Shanahan would veto a trade that Dubas wanted to make for Thompson for a 5th, but I guess stranger things have happened. It's always been my assumption that there's something rotten at the very top of the Maple Leafs organization. This would be strong evidence of that.

I would guess that duties are divided however they want them to be. IE- Steve (tacitly Andlauer) could say that all moves need to be run through him prior to any trigger being pulled.

No mr negative, but the concept is something that could potentially happen. Good to see you jump to conclusions immediately. They can re-sign him as early as January. Its in Pintos best interests to sign a 1 year deal as he will have way more leverage once he isnt a 10.2 C free agent.

This is fantastic.

Dorion needs a check on his ass, a sober second opinion. Like, do you really want to give the short king Debrincat an 8x8 contract extension? He was saved from himself on that one.

Or potentially, Staios can offer some player evaluation help, like, Branny, and JBD are totally expendable. Kelly is a great story, but maybe he is waiver material.
