Great game only minor mistakes this night and offsetting good plays in each situation.

Solid solid team win. Especially tail end of a back to back.

As for our young defense there was a ton of strong indicators that our extremely strong AHL group was ready to help us in the nhl.

I really hate bringing in a negative but if this keeps going Keith is not required back. In fact I would fully expect if/when he does come back our defense instantly gets worse. Not that he has been bad but also not good and I prefer the guys we are using now.
That’s kind of a crazy thing to say honestly. Niemo should stay I agree but what your going to give him tough minutes and a top 4 role like Keith has? He’s going to break down and that’s a ridiculous position to put a rookie in. Broberg should go back to the AHL he’s making way too many mistakes still including some big ones tonight. Lagesson is what he is not a bad depth option but nothing more.

The Kings were off for two weeks. When you come back, you start your starter, your hof goalie. I mean I'm glad McLellan is stupid enough to see it differently. The Kings aren't paying Quick big bucks to sit him on his ass in the most important game of the season. But you gotta love Mcllellan doing us an unintented favor. Anyway you shake it was a stupid decision that ultimately cost the Kings the game.

Eh Peterson's been good this year too, it's not like he really let in any stinkers. First goal his own D takes him out the play stupidly, 2nd goal RNH is wide open 5 feet from the net, 3rd goal Kings lose track of Draisaitl and Yamamoto completely and you're going to pay if you do that.

I Understand. I thought we played well except for the PP and a few mishaps in the D zone.

Should I check posts in the GDT when the Kings were winning this game or when Danault tied it 2-2 late on a totally blown coverage?

Thats the thing. All these post game comments are revisionist. The game I watched we could have lost. Went down the wire. Take the 2pts. We still gotta lot of work to do from what I'm seeing.

Most of the GDT Oilers fans view of the game was that the Oilers weren't being that good. Getting a Winning goal doesn't change 57mins of how the game was played. Not in my view.

It was a tight close checking game. The kings didn’t outplay the oilers like you think

I dont think Broberg is quite ready. Hes been decent but I dont think hes quite there. Neimo/Lagesson should be playing though. They are both playing well. Woodcroft may just keep rolling 7 D.
I can see Broberg going back to Bako when Keith returns. I don’t think Neimo or Lagesson go back down.

Peterson is solely responsible for the winning goal. He's the one that turned the puck over. How did you miss that?

The trick is to not take anything personally.

Otherwise it’s really easy to get under your skin.

Examples:

@TB12 Tom Brady sucks

@OfCorsiDid Social 30 >> Math 31

@Tobias Kahun Jeff O’Neill is god

The third goal is on the Kings skaters no? Someone broke their stick and they basically decided not to cover Draisaitl or Yamamoto.

You sound almost upset LA lost. f*** the Kings, lol.

Good teams win these type of games. Yes it was down to the wire...the last 5 minutes really. Nice goal from Yamo on a play that resulted from the forecheck, and the boys had the lead. After that, they bent but didn't break. Nice effort by the whole team tonight except Shore who had to watch. I know that LA hadn't played in a while, but they played well. They are a stingy team to play against, and you could tell the Oilers were tired.

you must not have watched the game and maybe only looking at replays. On the winning goal Peterson goes back of net intercepting the puck instead of just letting it go to his D who was back on the play. Peterson then screws up with the puck, fakes out his D with two pump fakes, then panics, and bounces the puck off his own D. Oilers W the puck, work it back to the point, then To Drai, who spots Yama and they score. It was all on Peterson.

Admittedly I don't dislike the Kings. I respect their club and core. Unlike the Oilers they're a SC winning club. Most people here, through the Oilers being so awful have a fallback club. kings are mine, anybody paying attention knows that.
