Mclellan, ever the idiot, beat himself. Its doughty's 1000 game ceremony, its an important 4pt game, really a playoff game. But the doofus coach starts Peterson instead of a HOF goalie that has played his whole career with Doughty. I couldn't believe it.

As if to put an exclamation mark on what kind of idiot McLellan is Petersons brutal puck handling creates the winning goal for the Oilers on an otherwise harmless play. Peterson is bad with the puck. But he keeps trying shit like this.

But try, anybody, to explain why Quick didn't get this game. Imagine McLellan having to explain to quick again after this debacle why he didn't get the start.

Peterson got the start tonight because him and Quick usually rotate. One game on, one game off, one game on, one game off etc.

I'm not really understanding this post.

I view games differently than some do. This was not a well played game by the Oilers. We won despite being outplayed and because Peterson made a stupid play on the winning goal.

This was a game the Oilers had to have that went down the wire and could have gone either way. I'm just not buying the "wow this team is playing so great" narrative in post game when people were saying anything but DURING the game. get it?

Yeah Broberg's not ready for the big show which is OK. He needs more time in the AHL.

He's fine and isn't out of place IMO. These games will help him over the offseason and the rest of his season in Bako. The kid has a bright future ahead of him.

Best goaltender on the ice for a couple consecutive. Smith finishes with a .938 GAA AND takes responsibility for the first goal against. Covid Koski waiting to get back. Skinner pitching a shutout against the Dog Sharks. Finally a healthy goaltending corp (but still hope they upgrade).

The Kings were off for two weeks. When you come back, you start your starter, your hof goalie. I mean I'm glad McLellan is stupid enough to see it differently. The Kings aren't paying Quick big bucks to sit him on his ass in the most important game of the season. But you gotta love Mcllellan doing us an unintented favor. Anyway you shake it was a stupid decision that ultimately cost the Kings the game.

Because the team has shown significant growth and improvement already in a very short time under Woodcroft.
