Cats out of the bag now. Go Leafs Go!

Goes to show how perception of who had the better game is exaggerated just because one of them scored. Marner is a hero and Matthews is a ghost.
IMO neither one was that good. Analytics is overrated. If they were that good then Murray should be starting. I'm still not impressed with the two supposed leaders of this team. They have yet to dominate a game. For the money they make they should be doing what McDavid and Draistl are doing.

Well I don't know, they're not as good as McDavid and Draisaitl so we can probably forget about that happening, but you're right that both haven't played up to par in this series at all.

I'm expecting a big game from Matthews in game 5, if not good chance we don't extend the series because I expect Florida to come out flying. 6 straight games with only 2 goals? You have to think we find a way to breakout in a big way here before this series is over.

They played a great game but I'm still not sure they will comeback to win the series if Matthews and Marner don't lead the way. You look at the Oilers and how their top 2 guys lead the way every night. I have yet to see them take over a game like McDavid or MacKinnon does.
lol did you miss Game 4 last series?

:DD:DD:DDYou know fans do exist all over the place right? Not just Toronto and area. They're All Over the place. Vancouver Edmonton Calgary etc. All have Leaf fans. btw avatar mocking Marchand cause he looks sad.

Anyway If the mods have a problem with me being a Leaf fan from Edmonton then i'll worry about it, till then kick rocks
Considering we have Leafs fans, including some on this board, from Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America (and probably Africa and Antarctica), I guess we can tolerate one from Edmonton. :sarcasm:

I don't see it happening. I don't expect them to be as good as McDavid or Draisaitl. For two guys who are supposed to be the leaders of this team they should be leading the way almost every game. They got their 1 win and it wouldn't surprise me to see the disappearing act next game.

Hopefully no cases of Bud Light were ordered to the Leafs dressing room.

Actually I'm not sure if that's commercially available in Florida anymore..
I noticed the other day that Bud Light has the same ABV as Guinness.

What's the point?

We have enough skilled players that we don't need to rely on them as heavily as Edmonton does with McDavid and Draisaitl, that's what makes the 6 straight games with only 2 goals even more puzzling. I still think Matthews comes up big in game 5, and overall I think we score 3 or 4 goals atleast. Though I wouldn't be shocked to see us bow out at home either.

Havent been to a leafs game here in about 10-12 years. Mostly cause prices are insane when they come here and my friends who are season ticket holders no longer have them or sold them during "the decade of darkness" used to take my Dad all the time seeing as hes an oilers fan (cool your shit) its because of him that im a Leafs fan of Almost 30 years and if he didnt take to MLG id never have became a Leafs fan and wouldve just been idolizing Gretz even in LA. We'd goto Leaf games and he would hate how he was sandwiched between me and other Leafs fans and Rexall was drowned out in GO LEAFS GO chants.

Lol

At a time, just win the next one then go again
Matthews was a lot better of course but they need him to produce as well. But hey... If he can make sure the puck isn't in the D zone, I guess we'll take it.
They need to get closer to the crease, create mayhem and try to throw Bob off his game

He's looking way to comfortable for my liking

Since when exactly? Matthews still has more goals and points in THESE playoffs than Nylander, while being about 200% better defensively.
Willie had a good game but holy overreaction batman.
Yep - 22% more points in 23% more ice time (and almost double the PP time), and playing centre with Mitch instead of being stuck with JT most of the time.

In this series, Willy has more goals and as many points, in only 81% as much ice time (and only 42% as much PP time).

At least in this series, Willy has been the best player in every game (possible exception Woll).

Fortunately the best player grabbed the team and dragged them to the win.

I used to get tickets to the Leafs games at the Gardens a couple of times a year in the 70s and 80s, but never saw a game live with my Dad. One of my favourite memories is watching the last couple of games of the '72 Summit Series with him (him on shiftwork and me skipping school).

Holl should not be in the lineup

He takes a stupid penalty, and then he literally covers no one on Florida's only goal

Well, still alive. I wasn’t sure I wanted to be dragged back into this, but here we are.

They played what I guess you would call a good road game. There was a lot of talk of playing with desperation, but it turned out they didn’t really have to; they did play with sufficient urgency and diligence, managed to get the lead, and Woll was good.

No idea what to expect in game 5.

How is Holl still playing in this lineup? Mind blowing. God, I hope they don’t resign him. I think he could have success somewhere with lower pressure (maybe) but for the leafs, he’s a liability every time he steps on the ice.

That moment Gudas absolutely drilled Kampf without the puck in sight then turned around expecting a swarm and there was nothing. Then at the end of the game there would have been nothing when Rielly got drilled at the buzzer if McCabe hadn't been nearby.
