I'm sure he'd be fine going any single player on the Leafs roster.

Not sure what the hold up is asking him to answer the bell?
It is the series. It is 3-1 for Florida. The Leafs will focus on winning the games. You saw no retribution from Tampa for Bunting for the exact same reason.

So what's the point of having rules then?

You're not eligible to have the rules work for you if you're playing soft? That Gudas hit was a f***ing joke, that's a flat out suspend-able hit and nobody says a f***ing peep about it.
It's not a suspendable hit, but it's an extremely easy penalty to call and I have no idea why it wasn't called. Shocking.

I think the frustration has made us all over react a bit, but it is very upsetting that two plays where a guy appeared to be injured on a dirty play weren't even penalized.

If I'm being honest, after watching more replays I don't think Bennetts hit on Knies is suspendable, but it's a brutally obvious penalty and possibly worthy of a fine. The cross check on Bunting is much worse and definitely suspension worthy though.

Bunting was ejected from the game and suspended three games + benched one afterwards, thereby eliminating him from any chance of retribution.

The Leafs could respond to Bennett at any point in-game for all of these supposed wrongdoings but they are choosing not to. Whether it's strategy, indifference, or cowardice we really don't know. It's up to the watcher to decide for themselves whether you should let a rookie get concussed with no response in-game. Stamkos sure responded to the Bunting hit by bullying poor Matthews when he was collecting sticks off the ice. No one did for Knies though.

There's a clear difference and if you were watching and playing closer attention to the games you profess to "enjoy" you'd realize them.

I understand that this was a do or die game for the Leafs but I find it a little unsettling that no one from the Leafs did anything to Gudas after that hit on Kampf which was borderline charging and right at the whistle.

Kampf has been our best forward in Florida.

I think it's good we didn't just goon it up (as much as I'd love to see Bennett and Gudas completely destroyed) we didn't run around and make mistakes whilst looking for revenge. We were up. It was our game, we had to buy in as a team and keep playing.

There will be retribution though, just timed, and well executed, and when we're up by a lot or tied and the heat of the moment strikes.

But those Leafs will not forget, game 5 will be fireworks, if there's a game 7 this maybe our new Boston and all bets are off my friend.

That hit was at least 1 if not 1.5 seconds after the whistle. Kampf has clearly let up on the play and was standing upright when Radko Rogain Budas leveled him into the boards. It was at the very least unsportsmanlike, at the worst it was charging a defenceless defensive forward. The fact there was no penalty at least to even up the calls is absolutely shocking. CBC made no mention of it during the intermission. We are very lucky 64 came back to play, he looked stunned AF when it happened and I thought for sure he was done. Gudas needs the butt end of a leaf hockey stick shoved down his throat or better up his Gudas

Wrong Again. He played games 6. I was watching and paying close attention. Tampa was trying to win the game. This what the Leafs are doing now.

I hope it motivates Marner to give his balls a tug and defend himself properly in those situations.

Not even expecting him to step in for a teammate just asking him to stand up for himself and not be clowned on,
think he did fine, he grabbed tkachuk before he could join the dogpile, wasting energy wrassling/scrapping with tkachuk is a waste esp for a smallish star winger

They played a great game but I'm still not sure they will comeback to win the series if Matthews and Marner don't lead the way. You look at the Oilers and how their top 2 guys lead the way every night. I have yet to see them take over a game like McDavid or MacKinnon does.

The Gudas hit should have been a penalty but whatever it's the playoffs. Bennett should have been suspended in this series already. That crosscheck on Bunting was "intent to injure" and he's hitting a defenseless Mccabe after the game with haymakers. Seems player safety thinks it's "intent to murder".

Leafs are soft and always have been. Better team moves on, losers go home. Now is the time to dig deep and find some mustard between the legs to f*** up some kitties

Kampf is one tough nut the outcome could have been worse.

I would have loved to have seen the Leafs end any of games 1,2 or 3 the way the Panthers ended it tonight.

On to Friday.
And I have to say the Leafs response to what Florida did was exactly what I’ve been hoping to see all series long. Sticking up for each other. The Leafs didn’t back down, so refreshing.

Great win, I have 1 issue. Auston Matthews is barely noticeable for a 11.6 million dollar guy, he has little to no ambition offensively, isnt skating hard. Yes he has blocked some shots....

Leafs best player tonight was Nylander. He was confident, competing hard and using his skill to be dangerous.
