Friday night's game will be exciting. The big guns are overdue. Great time to break the 0-Fors.

If they cam break out offensively and send this to a 6th game it's anyone's series.

Florida should feel very fortunate to be up 3-1 IMO.

Nylander never seems phased by the playoffs. He's still willing to carry the puck with that effortless skating. He still dangles and skates at opposing defensemen. He always willing to accept the puck.

I find our other guys flub passes and clearances, and shots because they get stage fright. Whatever attitude or headspace Nylander has, he needs to give it to the others.

Matthews missing posters need to go up soon, need him go dress for game 5 guys lol.
Matthews has been all over the ice, is hitting, is blocking, is stealing pucks, taking shots, he's been great.

He basically carried us against Tampa. Sometimes players get shut down. That's when other players should step up.

We put Matthews in the top 5 category. Top 5 players just don't get shut down.

Leafs could have been the team up 3-1 had they played a full 60 minutes every game...just played too loosely like it was the regular season and Florida made them pay on their opportunities. The Leafs don't need to score 4 goals to win...they can actually win low scoring games if they play tight defensively sound hockey...they don't need McCabe blowing zones.

This whole Florida trying to injure our players every shift thing needs to stop already.

Dubas' job might be in jeopardy anyway, just call the bullshit out please.
The f***ing media, especially Hockey Night in Canada, needs to call out the NHL on this BS.

That Gudas hit would have been 5 and a game, with a hefty suspension, had a Leaf done it !!!

Game should have ended 2-0, as that trip called on Kerfoot was a HIP check !!! It was not tripping. If Kerfoot had stayed prone on the ice, sure, it was tripping, however, he was able to get partially back up and made a good hip check !!! It was hip on hip contact !!! JMHO.

Both Bennett and Gudas need to have some bad stuff happen to them !!! Their every hit is intent to injure !!!

Also, Ktachuk needs to be fed some knuckle sandwiches when he least expects it !!!

It's a 3-1 deficit.

We came back from a 3-1 deficit against the Bruins in 2018, game 7 we failed. But coming back in the series wasn't a problem.

Is it too much to think that we've yet to see the Leafs best hockey this series?

Matthews isn't getting shutdown

He's not capitalizing on his chances

It's weird but he almost thrives by not taking things too seriously.

Listening to his interview yesterday seemed like he could give a shit less that they're down 3-0, but it seems to work for him. Marner should really adopt this mindset too.

They do it because they can. Who’s going to stop them? Our team is soft. Schenn and McCabe are great additions but they need a top 9 guy or two who can hit, drive the net and fight. Basically, they need a Sam Bennett and/or Marcus Foligno type.

It’s frustrating to watch Florida bully them unpenalized.

Also, I know Matthews has mostly been a ghost but at least he is putting in an effort defensively, blocking shots and stealing pucks. Still underwhelming and not deserving of a raise on his current salary.

So what's the point of having rules then?

You're not eligible to have the rules work for you if you're playing soft? That Gudas hit was a f***ing joke, that's a flat out suspend-able hit and nobody says a f***ing peep about it.

31 teams have come back from down 3-1.

It's a 3-1 series, its' doable.

Just win the next game and play with your backs against the wall.

Consistency has been this team’s downfall. This is the ultimate test of that. They have the talent and ability to bear Florida, but do that have the will needed?

Just focus on winning the next game

It’s kind of mind boggling they saved a perfect, textbook playoff win with a rookie goalie in net down 3-0 to win and stay alive. The variance in their quality of play from Game 2 to 3 is like top 5 team in the league vs bottom 5 team in the league.

Big picture, they still can’t really look big picture at all but can only win one shift and one period at a time and hope something is wrong inside Florida to let them have some success on Friday.

I used to think that but Nylander is a better skater, puck handler and their shots are about even since Matthews shot is not what it used to be. To me Matthews is a more complete 200 foot player but less dangerous offensively now.
Since when exactly? Matthews still has more goals and points in THESE playoffs than Nylander, while being about 200% better defensively.
Willie had a good game but holy overreaction batman.
