If Tom is okay leaving it the way it is, I say keep it the way it is, and forget it ever happened. Less headache and confusion for everyone, and no time is wasted.

C4G solution works that you keep who you picked, or take the 1 guy made available and drop a player you picked. Only problem being we will be 2 more days trying to sort that all out.

I don't think the time will be an issue, we got through 2 and a half rounds yesterday, going back there would be 5 and a half round to go. At yesterday's rate we finish before the weekend is over.

I came into the pool really wanting Soderstrom because I missed out waiting too long in the other ones, not getting him because I waited too long again is 1 thing, that's on me, not getting him because of this is a different story.

If losing out on the guy you had picked was an issue my suggestion solves that, nobody can poach your pick unless you decide to take the other guy and let them go when you pick comes(in which case you're either the same keeping the same guy, or you're better off getting the guy who you deem better so there's no negative for anyone). The only person who actually loses a guy they currently have is Huffman with Sandstrom in the 7th round(which should have been picked in the 5th round anyway) but he said there's another goalie remaining he likes as much. Going that way I'd expect most picks to remain the same, 2 or 3 switches when someone drops a guy someone else liked better.

and I don't think time is an issue, we've been flying along.

Commissioner, you need to make a decision so we're not wasting any more time. The weekend is always tougher and slower with picks. At least it has been in the last couple of years.

another option we could leave it as is and then agree to a 1 time 3 team swap to fix things. I get Soderstrom, tom gets Sandstrom, Huffman gets A.Nylander(with a 7th rounder that's a steal :p), keep the rest of the draft the same, nobody else is affected since those 3 picks went in those same 3 picks.

Works for me, and works for tom since he was picking Sandstrom, not sure if it works for Huffman, I'd love me an A.Nylander with a 7th rounder but maybe he wants to make sure he gets a goalie.

Hi guys, I went back to sleep to give everybody a chance to see what was happening before making any moves. I see the discussion has been flying and there have been lots of interesting solutions. I think the most reasonable one is C4G's idea that you either take the guy you already took or the guy that has just been made available, but nobody else.

With that said, Tom gets Sandstrom and Soderstrom goes back into availability. WeThreeKings is now up and can either take keep Boeser or take Soderstrom.

IMO the picks should stay, and he can repick that pick now. Because I feel if we start over from that pick, someone could have forgotten players and is now aware of them since they were taken later (if that was understandable).

I actually don't see anyone ahead of my picks that I want other than Soderstrom who won't make that far, so I'm just standing pat with my picks of Perlini and Hicketts. If there's anyone else that knows they aren't going to go for anyone else, just post that info now and it will save us a bit of time.

Im standing by my picks too:nod:

If we go with my suggestion though you can't take someone you had forgotten about, if they were available when you picked and you didn't take them you can't take them now
, you can't steal someone else's pick just the guy you took or the guy took ahead of you that wouldn't be taken anymore

If WTK keeps Boeser then I'd take Soderstrom instead of A.Nylander and then if statsy keeps his 2 guys then I take A.Nylander instead of Fleury.

for his pick in the 5th round right ahead of my pick if we're doing that repick?

Yep, that was the one gamble with this system. But keep in mind you were going to pick Soderstrom two picks after he was taken and I was going to pick Soderstrom three picks after he's taken. It's not a stretch that someone just one pick later would also think they had waited too long for him.

I can't exactly complain, he might he picked Soderstrom, but I can't help but think all this talk of I would have taken Soderstrom, and you would have taken Soderstrom and redo this past couple rounds have made him think yeah I think I'll take Soderstrom.

But yeah that's well within his right to do so unfortunately, if Soderstrom isn't there I'd stick with A.Nylanders and Fleury.

Tom keeps Merkley, so it's over to Huffman to either keep Saarijarvi or take Julien Gauthier.

In fact, after this we are back on track with the next three guys keeping their original picks. So Huffman can go ahead and make his pick at the 52 slot as well.
