No. Take the defensemen. He can be taken twice, that sounds legal. I don't need any more D, I don't care.

Would be a fun pool idea. Every player can be taken twice but you can't take the same player twice. Would be fun to see someone pick a guy and then watch on in horror that nobody else wanted him for 3 more rounds.

How about a “reverse” pool. Instead of picking the players you think will score the most, you pick who you think will score the least. Get rewarded for minuses, penalty minutes. The more goals against, the better for the goalies. Instead of shutout, you get extra points if the goalie gets pulled :laugh:
 
Those are both interesting pool ideas although the least points one will devolve into a scouring of the Austrian roster, and NOBODY wants to do that! :laugh:
 
Until we see them play it's hard to know exactly who will be an X factor for Canada, Bourgault I bet it will be Xavier.

(I was going to say I was Pawning Mary Off to another player but it really didn't make sense...considering there's no player named Mary :P )

Punning aside, I can't believe I got Ponomaryov at this point, he scored 3 last year and he's an offensive force lighting it up

Jokes aside, I drafted Ponomaryov last year and though he only put up three points, the guy was a joy to watch. Scoring chances every time he was on the ice. I was hoping to snag him at the end here. C’est la vie!

Alright now that I'm actually on the clock I can make my pick. You know what they say, the road to hell is Paved with good intentions. Now hopefully none of players kick and scream about "No-vak(s)" or else I'll be in trouble.

Statsy, how does it feel. This pool started 3 days ago. Mine started 7 days ago. Looks like yours will be the first to finish. I don't recall that happening before.

On that note, why did you start so early? :sarcasm:
 
I also think we set a record for most number of cages being worn in the roster pictures with 6. It helps that 2 were goalies, and 2 were underage so have to wear a cage by rules. Holtz and Beniers must not be very photogenic though.

We're also going a little faster also because I'm not being such a dolt and making everyone wait and double picking guys this year. (sigh...) Last year was a weird one as I tried doing everything while at work and doing it from my phone...had better system this year.
