They don’t even make profits on console sales. If you’re buying the game or subbing on gamepass, they win. That’s why they put everything on PC.

This isn't beyond Microsoft though. When MS got into the console game they readily cannibalized the PC market to help push people to buy an Xbox.

At some point in the past generation or two though they got comfortable enough in the market, it got easy/convenient enough, and/or they simply switched strategies, that we're at where we are today where any Xbox exclusives are going to get a Windows release.

Microsoft understood the future was digital and they committed to that model. Now they have over 25 million subscribers and are generating monthly income(regardless of platform) rather than selling consoles at a loss.

What's up with this amount of insanity coming within game studios? I would not issue a release date for any game that isn't close of being finished. It just comes across as a PR nightmare yet studio after studio are conducting the same awful mistakes. Just say you're building a game and show it off when enough of it is available, no release or yearly date please. That's how you get gamers to turn on your project in seconds because you're going to delay it six times and then eventually release an unfinished product and lose your consumers trust.

Agreed it’s a bad look, especially if it comes out unfinished like Cyberpunk.

There’s a lot more that goes on when putting a release date or window out, and a lot of it is likely shareholder/business related, as they need to know an idea of what is coming.

This is literally the first time this game has been delayed so I don’t see how it’s that big a deal. Every game is getting delayed because a lot of these companies are just now getting back into their offices.

I just got into Star Citizen recently and its kinda set my expectations for Starfield extremely high and I dont think it is going to live up to what I am wanting from the game sadly.

It will be interesting to see how much we see on Sunday. I expected a lot of gameplay before the delay. I still think we see it but not nearly as much.

Really excited for this. It's the lone reason I bought an Xbox along with the PS5 if I'm being honest. Really hope it delivers, but tbh I think it will even if it'll be buggy as hell. The features they showed in this video though just made me all the more excited

I have no opinions until they release more info on the story. Not interested in a space sim with rpg combat and weak writing and characters. I hope it’s good.
