Not really anything to get excited about yet, we haven't seen the game. I hope they've taken inspiration from games that followed Skyrim, like The Witcher 3, BoTW and Elden Ring.
Just hope it’s packed with more content like Skyrim and not like fallout 4 (still packed but much less so than Skyrim)

Not hyped for this, to me it seems that this game will follow Anthem. What I mean by that is this game was like ten years in the making which started off as an awesome concept, but then didn't have any direction in where it needed to go. Wasting funds, they decided to choose a random direction during crunch time, clearly unfinished, and needed to ship it ASAP because the shareholders were getting restless on a long uneventful project.

Bethesdas kind of a steady ship compared to new BioWare though.

That seems like quite the stretch considering we know so little.
But would you be surprised if this game turned out this way though? I mean, Besthesda bought the trademark rights for the name all the way back in 2013, that's a nine year gap and they probably had the concept even longer than that yet you have almost zero info. Too eerie similar to Anthem and how that game came out of nowhere with a long production history...

There's a good video out there - I believe by AngryJoe - showcasing all the lies by Todd Howard, which there are many. You can't trust this bloke anymore.

I'm pretty excited for this still. Not a lot of Bethesda games that I don't end up enjoying, even if they are really buggy. This is coming from someone who has Cyberpunk 2077 as one of my top 10 games of all time and played it during the release week, so I don't mind some bugs lol.

Leaks aside, we didn't know anything about Fallout 4 until June 2015 with the game releasing in November the same year. That game ended up being fine.

Yeah and most people flame anyone if the release isn’t the same year or very close after it.

Yeah, Microsoft delayed Halo Infinite by a year. They're not going to release this until it's actually finished.
The game was delayed because of the backlash to the initial reveal. The game would have never been delayed had they had shown something that players responded positively to.

At this stage I'm more hyped for Starfield coming out so Elder Scrolls is closer than I am from Starfield, Who knows it might be good, but Fallout 4 was disappointing for me. Good Shooter, not a great fall out game.

I felt the same. Fallout 4 was a good game, but for a Fallout game, it felt lacking somehow.

I would be surprised. Bethesda specialized in story driven single player RPG's, and here's the new EA overlords tasking them with making a live service looter shooter. I also recall seeing inside rumours that they had issues getting in-house support for the Frostbite engine because EA would prioritize resources to Battlefield and Madden or whatever.

Space is new and you have to expect it will launch full of bugs, but Bethesda at least has a proven track record in releasing large open world games. Games never live up to their pre-launch hype but we should still get a good game here.

If we later find out that Starfield was basically done within a year before it was released, yeah, I'd be worried that Starfield might be anything like Anthem.

otherwise I'm thinking probably not.
