As much flack as Trouba catches and I have to call a spade a spade that some of it is warranted, personally I still like him and think he's still playing through something - I totally agree with you. Love to give him a bit of a breather, not sure the leading up to the allstar break would be enough.

From what I can tell, our last game is Jan 27th and we're back playing after the ASG on Feb 6. (9-10 days-ish if they keep em off the ice)

Adam Fox made that goal look so damn easy. Can’t discount the work that Mika and Bread did on the shift, first Mika in the defensive zone and then Bread driving to the net and keeping the play alive long enough to feed the puck to Fox. What a f***ing win.

I didn't think that Panarin was going to take the puck into the zone against two defenders on his backhand and against the wall. I thought he was going to pivot back into the neutral zone to recoil the attack. That fooled those two Stars hard.

Laf played the amount of minutes he should be playing. And MSG didn't split in half and demons didn't spew from the cracks and we're all still here. And the Rangers won. Perhaps Gallant should keep doing that. Keep Laf and Kakko with Zibanejad. Put Chytil with Panarin. Keep the kids in the top 6 permanently.

Yeah no. I’d rather give the 50 goal scorer the top 6 mins over a 1 OA who is dangerously close to bust territory.

I was at the game last night. There were two guys in their late teens next to me and I was with my daughter. Obviously when the Rangers scored to tie it up and win it, we celebrated together. I made a comment, that I've never seen an ending like that. One of the guys looked at me and said, "it's my first game!!!" Can you imagine that?? I told him he probably shouldn't go to anymore because that ending will never be beat.

Eh lots of things going on with the power play. Kreider isn’t getting the luck with the tips he did last year. Fox’s “shot” is mostly to setup a rebound or tip in front and those haven’t been doing in
Zib hasn’t been getting his shot from a good location lately. Too far out or too much angle, teams are protecting against it and forcing him out of the good spot
Earlier in the year they rotated more to open things up but doesn’t seem like they do that as much lately so yeah need to change some stuff up even if the end result is trying to get a one timer from the better location

E: slap shots from the point are overrated as hell these days unless you have an elite shot. They’re even easier to block than zibanejad some timers. Deangelo didn’t really have a threatening shot either he mostly wristed it but tried to score from there more than fox who is setting people up

KAM is probably getting closer to ~5 on a new deal so we can afford him. It's not like hes getting the Fox contract off his ELC

Lotta excuses there - we need change - not because we are bad but we are stale - video tech allows teams to catch you - stop your bread & butter .

Ziba & Panarin are flat out dry asf

Laf looked meh, noticed him maybe on one shift or two, but then again a lot of the forwards looked uninterested. The D played great and willed this team to win.
