“Now, here, we’re a much bigger crew and longer,” Cassidy said of his big boys on the Vegas back end. “It’s not always the physical part, but the length sometimes to get inside — that’s the system you play, your stick play or just getting into people when you’re longer and taller and heavier. That can wear people down. This year it’s been a big strength of our team.
“I think what everybody is probably looking for is the guys that are long who can still move the puck and contribute offensively but get in the way and get physical defensively. Those guys don’t grow on trees.
“Right now that’s how we’re built and it’s working for us.”
