That was the back breaker tonight… Florida had some momentum, then a late goal. Game 7 and more hockey!

When everyone said this series had all the hallmarks of a gentleman's sweep, I didn't see it unfolding like this.

I'd like to be wrong but I think at the beginning of Game 7 their coaches won't be able to pull a needle out of the Panther' sphincters with a tractor.

They aren’t playing poorly because of being tired they are playing poorly because the Oilers are genuinely good. I don’t understand the narrative that they aren’t a great team, they are easily the best team the Panthers have played

Yup. Oilers are good. East just got overrated so we anticipated Florida looking far better than they have.

It'll be absolutely hilarious if the Oilers do lose game 7 tho. What a heartbreaker that'll be for them. If it wasn't for Bob going god mode earlier in this series it would be over already.

All the pressure in the world on Florida now and as we have seen tonight, they are not handling it well.

Bobrovsky is also not playing game saving hockey for them anymore.

While we are all congratulating the Oilers for being so good, let's pour one out for Florida who also has won three straight against their opponents in this series.

Best of 1s are always the greatest. No matter what happens though, I hope it gets to at least the 3rd OT just to give the Panthers a little more deja vu.

[edit...So what happens in the 3rd? Does Edmonton blow this game completely open and run away with it or does Florida start to correct their game and get some good feelings going into game 7? ]

An insane amount of credit should go to Skinner. McDavid will get the Smythe, but Skinner is a very close 2nd IMO.

Edmonton took awhile to get used to the pace of playing a series against an actual playoff contender. And Bob was stealing games.

But once the Oilers got rolling Florida had no chance.

Once in a century come back from 0-3. And it will be another 50 years until we see another playoff performance like this. If ever.

Edmonton took awhile to get used to the pace of playing a series against an actual playoff contender.

I don't think they did. I hate Edmonton and want them to lose but they've looked good for most of the series. Much better team in game 1.

Imagine being Luongo right now. Loses the SCF when the Canucks were up 2-0 which already doesn’t happen often. Joins the Panthers front office and sees them go to the SCF last year where they’re outmatched. Now staring down the barrel of going from thinking he was finally getting that Cup a week ago only for the team to pull off the choke of the ages
