I refuse to watch another series where the Capitals lay down like cheap prostitutes for the Rangers.
At least the Islanders SHOULD give them a fight.
The only way the Caps give them a fight is if they drag it out to 7 games after having a 3-2 or 2-0 series lead.
The Isles can knock them out , in those rivalry series anything can happen. We all saw it first hand.
Aside from the Senators crazy run to the playoffs, this honestly might have been the most forgettable year of hockey (and first round so far) that I can remember.
Early season injuries, mumps outbreak, the great plunge to the bottom of the standings for a chance at McEichel and, even on top of that, the smaller-than-predicted raise on the salary cap. Didn't leave as much room for rich teams to get richer.
The overall meh factor has definitely spread to the playoffs. Only a couple of games have captivated me unlike previous postseasons.
One current advantage they have which they won't vs the rags is a loud home crowd.
Rags will have 50% of the crowd in the nvmc.
I predict a NYi PP late in the 3rd or in OT.
The Isles can knock them out , in those rivalry series anything can happen. We all saw it first hand in 2012 when no one gave us a chance against Philly or the Rangers.
I wish Boston would have bounced Pit...
Which is why I'm rooting for the Islanders over the Capitals, not because I'm a an Islanders fan or even really on their bandwagon (despite my avatar haha).
Worried about Tampa.
Boston was struggling just as much as Pittsburgh down the stretch, I'm not sure they would have alleviated the meh or had a chance at the Rangers either.
If it wasn't for our team, they'd be hands down the slowest in the NHL. They might have made a bit more of a series than Pittsburgh apparently wants it to be, but I still don't think they'd get by the Rangers. (Even with the Rangers creating an unexpected amount of follies in their own end)
Yeah but Boston plays dirty.
Caps win
