Knew that wouldn't go over well for Winnipeg.

That looked like it was gonna end fast, Winnipeg had enough offensive zone time to do something too.

Pretty crazy that 2 of the closest series are sitting at 3-0 right now.

Edit: And the teams on the other end of that 0-3 scored first in each of their respective games. Gotta love all the bizarro stuff that happens in the playoffs.

Would like Winnipeg to stretch this series out as few games just so it doesn't end

Another series I was wrong about. I honestly thought the Ducks would of choked this one. Definitely wasn't expecting a 3-0 lead.

I picked Winnipeg in 7. Think it might be a clean sweep though, 5 at most at this point.

Ottawa and Winnipeg have been really bad at holding leads. Only one goal leads, but still not good enough in the playoffs.

What I was expecting. Ducks have surprised me, but I still am not buying in on them.

Ya that is nuts. Jets and Senators definitely have played way better then the series records show.

They remind me a lot of each other, though I still think Winnipeg is a lot better than Ottawa.

Can't hold a one goal lead or tie to save their lives and neither can win in OT.

I was getting the Ottawa overtime vibe with them if this game went to OT.

By all means, this is a series the Ducks really should have won. If not easily won.

I haven't been a believer in Calgary all year, but I did pick them beat Vancouver in 6 and I think they could beat the Ducks too.

That series could go either way. I don't see Vancouver long for this series with Calgary right now.

The Ducks and Flames are REALLY similar teams actually. Anaheim has been shooting very high for years and isn't a great possession team either. They've also both had these insane 3rd periods all season and it's carrying over into the playoffs for both.

Anaheim has been doing this all year, to be fair.

They're a more convincing version of last year's Avalanche. They've won an insane amount of 1 goal games, all in the 3rd period.

That's gotta drive the Jets crazy. They've had a lead going into the third in every game of the series, yet they're trailing 3-0.

LOL Rutherford

Dude is like the Pete DeBoer of general managers. He told the reporter to go sell ice cream haha.

5 playoff berths in 20 seasons as an NHL GM before this year, and he came DANGEROUSLY close to missing with a team that hasn't missed in 8 years and isn't a budget team like the organization from Raleigh.

Why did Mario hire this guy?

NYi bandwagon turning ugly

Most of us who live in the NJ/NY area and have attended Devils vs NYi games through the years at the Meadowlands, The Rock or the NVMC, have noticed a difference in the typical NYi fan this year.

A lot of chest pounding bravado, tough guy syndrome and yes the most overused word to describe a group of fans: classless behavior.

All the things that we have been accustomed to with Rags fans over the years and what separated them with NYi fans.

Most of the older & long time NYi fans themselves will tell you that both our fanbases are different than the Rags fanbase.

A lot of us would agree with that statement overall.
We even personally know NYI fans that are good people and great hockey fans.

But, a touch of winning has generated a whole new group of thugs that will taint their overall fanbase if the older/long time fans don't do their best to squash this movement.

It's truly a shame that in their last season at the NVMC and on the run they are on, that opposing fans had to deal with this nonsense/crap at Game-3.

If it continues it will cheapen their run and at the end of day they don't want to hear it but, blur the lines between the NYi & Rags fanbase.

This crap happens at The Rock too. Our fans are no better.

It shouldn't happen anywhere. Like it or not, but it goes back to YOU SUCK. They are directly correlated. It breeds a really ****** atmosphere where everything and everyone sucks. I see this crap, at least the homophobic stuff, go on EVERY SINGLE GAME at Pru Center. Especially when the Flyers are in town and the FLYERS SWALLOW chant. It's the same thing.

No way, bad comparison and I had a feeling that someone would jump to throw our fans under the bus right away.

I've been going to Devils home games since the early 80s and Devils @ NYi games since the late 90s.

This year a whole new crop of NYi fans has popped out of nowhere.
It prob started with the inferiority complex "loudville" section in the last season or two, but their younger fans have been noticeably different this season and I'm not one bit surprised that Caps fans were threatened and suffered property damage.

I'll bet my NYi friend who has a partial plan in the 300 level is not happy about this.
I already texted him and will post his feedback later.

**Oh, and I agree with you that there is too much "Suck" at Devils games and the FS chant needs to be squashed out asap.
But that is different than the tough guy antics

how the hell do you have leads going into the third in three games and lose them all? and wtf are the blues doing, they look like they're playing preseason hockey. did they even have a high-quality scoring chance last night?

It's not. It's the samething we have. Our fans were way better in the 90s and early 2000s. The younger fans from say 18-28 are in the same group that are doing the samething as the Islander fans. They are the ones driving the You Suck, something that didn't exist 10 years ago. That hostile attitude was much less years ago.

The Blues issues stretch back a couple of months in the regular season and some of it stems back to the locker room and a disconnect between some of the players and coach which has been documented.

Aside from Dallas, and despite getting more out of many of the teams he's had, Hitchcock has had pretty similar outcomes in most of his coaching endeavors
