Why, because he's not listening to a bunch of old, grumpy men on an Internet message board? Sounds like Luc is smarter than you may think, cause that's the last group of people I'd be listening to when it comes to style.

What the hell is your problem? I'm sorry, but do you speak for the majority of the Kings fan-base?

I'm 40-years old, have never worn pants around the middle of my ass....and yet I love the current jersey and have since day 1. By judging from the majority of the fans attending the games, they do to.

I think you need to relax, besides...the only ones who should care as much about a jersey as you seem to do are the guys who have to wear them for a living...and I'm doubting that you are one of them.

As much as Kings fans on the Internet seem to be in love with purple jerseys, Luc spoke with the players and they were in favor of getting rid of them.

We won the cup the year we officially switched over to black/white/silver. As silly as it sounds, maybe players are more proud to wear the current jerseys and that is evident the last couple years on the ice.

Dustin Brown once described his ideal jersey (it doesn't exist yet). The description he gave basically looks like the Stadium Series jersey, but with black being the dominant color instead of grey.

Don't usually agree with you, but here I do. The logo can obviously use some work but we have one of the sharpest and cleanest looks in the NHL right now. I know everyone else would rather look "cool" though, but I'd rather we look classy and sharp out there. No over thinking the design and trying to add unnecessary ********. There's a reason the players liked the black jerseys and wanted to wear them full time.

Wow, I've never seen men ***** about clothes this much before. It's just a jersey. And it's not bad either.

They look much better once the names and numbers are put on.

Seriously, what a bunch of peter puffers with their affinity of hockey fashions. I really couldn't care less what the Kings are wearing. HOnestly, I wish all of them were wearing nothing. Phew! I actually suggested that my beer league team wear pink and name ourselves the cupcakes. Unfortunately for me, my idea was not widely accepted. You guys are arguing over a bunch of colors. Go buy a bag of skittles and taste the rainbow!

This. Before the black ones were introduced, most of the guys talked about how much they loved the vintage Gretzky era jerseys, and how much they wanted to wear that style one day.

Also, should the NHL every decide to include the Kings in a real winter classic [my guess around 2020], you'll probably see the purple and gold return.

?

Proof? Link?

The only quotes I've ever seen on the vintage jersey have been from Sutter and he can't stop raving about them.

These stadium jerseys are just fine. I'd love to know what ticket sales are at. There seem to be plenty of tickets available but I haven't seen any discount deals yet either.

I got in on this last week about 5 minutes after I got the email. When they originally released it, I got tickets to last nights game, another on 12/19 and my Dodger Stadium ticket for $99. I'm sure if you are patient you'll be able to find a ticket deal through the Kings or on the secondary market. THere are over 5,000 tickets on stubhub and that is like 10% of the capacity of Dodgers Stadium. Ticket prices should be falling considering the game hasn't even sold out yet and tickets have been on sale to the public for a few weeks now.

I really like 'em, logo is HUGE but other than that they look great.

I can't be the only one who was sort of, on some level, kind of hoping for a Burger King gradient revival though right?

.

This is such crap! Who cares what players think of their jerseys?!

Since when does an employee have ANY say in what their uniform is? Do wal-mart employees have a say?

Do you think the Blackhawks, Bruins, Dallas Cowboys, NY Yankees, Boston Red Sox, NY Rangers ASK their players what they think of the uiniforms? of course not, because their opinion doesn't mean squat!

And of course I picked teams that no fan has an issue with, and there is history on their side of having well-designed jerseys for a long time. Something the Kings have lacked since the Gretzky jersey.

(well, Buss or Kupchek may have asked the Laker players what they think of those playground-black-thug jerseys, and the Lakers said "yes, can we wear them all the time?" JKC and Chick Hearn would roll over in their graves if they saw the **** the Lakers wear now)

The Team LA website shows four pictures in the side bar.. and they are of two different jerseys. I like the ones that look less silver and more grey, without the green tag in the back. Which ones are we going to end up with?

I like a uniform that is easily recognized, say when you walk into a bar or are walking through an airport and you look up and see a TV, and immediately you think, "I wonder if the Red Wings / Blackhawks / Leafs / Canadians, etc. are winning or losing. All of the teams with that went with the black and white crap are generics. The Kings could have one of the cleanest and most recognizable uniforms in the NHL if they just went back to their roots and wore the current throwbacks full time.

I don't really give a damn what the players like or don't like either. [mod] It's something I don't particularly like.

I'm trying to find out the same thing. For reference, here are the two "photos". One is photoshopped and one looks like an authentic. Anyone know which one we get when ordering? Some key differences are the shade of grey, the logo size and contrast, the shoulder yoke shape and the and bottom stripes. I'm sure it's all bad photoshop, but I wish they would just show what we'd be getting.

I like the original (the one in the video), but not that replica crap they're trying to sell.

I don't get why Reebok screws with the consumer when they start offering these cheap and flimsy replicas that look like knockoffs made in China. I so wish that the NHL uniform rights goes to another company who doesn't try to rip fans off by offering lesser quality at a premium price.

Kings fan complaining about something!?!? This is brand new information.

I hate urinal stalls, bring back the horse trough from the old Forum. I also hate the black and purple seats inside Staples Center. Why don't they bring back those uncomfortable nacho colored seats from the Forum?! And the old peanut vender as well! Do I sound like a curmudgeon?
