I’m happy with Buchinger. Two players that want to play the game at a higher tempo in the 3rd round.

Some Calgary fan said that about Adam Fox in '16. The league is trending to better skaters, even if they are small.

Who is the modern equivalent of that? That type of player either doesn't exist or its tougher to be successful in that style with the rule changes.

We could really use some extra size and toughness on D now. I assume Tucker and Loof are being groomed for those roles but any possibilities for that in our later picks?

Hedman is the modern Pronger.

Closest would be Headman, though Hedman is nowhere close to as physical, and Pronger and Stevens were not as skill as playmakers (Pronger closer then Stevens, admitted).

Of the top 10 in the norris voting this year, Ekblad and Hedman are the only two 6'4 or taller. Carlson and Slavin are 6'3, to be fair, but there are more defensemen 6'0 and under than 6'4 and taller

Hedman is a better skater and nowhere near as physical as Pronger. He's only topped 100 hits once in his career.
