Some interesting tidbits in there:

Both players (Hayes and Frasca) said they didn’t request a trade, but Hayes told Flint brass he “wouldn’t mind playing with my brother.”

Frasca, who has spent most of the last two seasons at right wing, has played in just 17 games this season. That’s due to an injury to his left hip.

Saying he’s fully recovered, Frasca, who can also play centre, described his condition as “100 per cent.”

“We’ll have one of the best net-front guys in the league and a sharp-shooter on one of the flanks (Frasca and Hayes),” Dean answered. “We’re excited to get our power-play percentage moving up.”

Frasca's size in front of the net will be huge. As offensively gifted as we are, the teams that have had the most success against us have relegated our skaters to the outside with many of our forwards being willing to "pay the price" out front. Good luck moving Frasca out or seeing around him once he sets up shop net-front.

Allard played some net front at WJC too, I wonder if he gets a look there on one of the PP units now that we have more options in the other spots?

Our PP has been hurting since big body McConnell Barker was injured. We were top 3 in the league until that point so I'd like to see Frasca at first. I think Karki will be the biggest addition though. The whole PP is set up for him to be the trigger man in the high slot.

Still no timeline on BMB's return?

Asked about McConnell-Barker’s impending return, Raftis said the Greyhounds captain is “really close.”

“Sometimes, depending on what your injury is, if it’s a shoulder or something else, we could probably push through, but we’re trying to look at the long game with it,” Raftis said.

Thx Fisch. That's good news!

If you think about the last month, the return of Allard, Karki and soon BMB, that'll feel like 3 trades in itself as the boys have been playing short handed them....alot of people seem to have forgotten we made a trade for Jack Beck at the start of the season, probably the best OA out there...

BECK ALLARD MIGNOSA
G. HAYES MARTIN FRASCA
D'INTINO BMB CLOUTIER
DEZOETE BROWN T. HAYES
FANTINO/ VADER

IF MIGNOSA IS HAVING ONE OF THOSE POOR GAMES, MOVE T. HAYES UP AND
MOVE MIGNOSA IN HIS SPOT ON THE 4th line.

AS FOR D

KUDRATSEV(1) GIBSON (3) VIRGILIO (5)
KARKKI (2) CARLISLE ( 4) EVANS (6)

BMB (7)
1st line is great line. Mignosa has been our most consistent forward this year after allard I’d say LOL He should never be below 3rd line

I think we probably end up balancing the top two lines, so 1A / 1B kind of thing. For optics, I'd be surprised if BMB was not the 1A center. But it's semantics at that point.

55 points.

IF we beat Guelph tonight the Hounds will have equalled their points total for the entire 22-23 season!

Though the improvement is obviously wonderful, winning on home ice is not exactly guaranteed. While we have the best winning percentage on the road in the OHL - 0.739 - on home ice our winning percentage is only 0.594. I don't think championship runs can be built on a mediocre performance at home.

Here's hoping that the Hounds Version 2.0 can figure out how to get more wins at home!
