Doesn't look good for Dezoete and Fantino imo.

Sam Bowness is a 19 y.o. former Q player who doesn't appear to generate much offense but also isn't on the ice for many goals against. Is he our new new power forward/PK specialist?

I though Nordh was coming?

Who said he isn't coming?

Why does that mean 11 and 27 are gone?

I thought he'd be here for camp/exhibition if Nordh was coming but maybe he comes later?

With 5 OA's on the roster choices must be made. Which of Allard, Carlisle, Shenkel are you cutting to keep them?

I'm trading both Allard and shenkel at this point. Get whatever assets we can. This is a development year for the 07 and 08s...I'm fine wirh dezeotte and fantino and Carlisle. Trade nordh too lol.

Get what we can and develop the youngsters for the future.

Not opposed to that personally and there was rumours to that effect, but as of right now they're still hounds and I can see some logic in keeping the top 3 talent for now.

Correct me if im wrong but we can start the season with 4 and have to cut or trade another later in the fall correct?

Personally I could see us starting the year with Schlenkel, Allard, Fantino and Carlisle as OAs. I have no idea who our 3rd stringer goalie is lol, and they may want Allard around to score until the OA deadline because we have some massive holes at forward as it is.

I thought Irvin was the better of the two all week. Hell, I though Irvin was the better of the 4 all week. Same wirh development camp.

I think november deadline is to get down to 4. You can carry 4 right through to the deadline.

One of the articles this week really laid it on thick about Carlisle's leadership. Pretty sure he gets a letter.
Carlisle, Fantino, Dezeote, Charlie until we have to cut down to 3.

Carlisle, Fantino, Dezeote after that.

Gibson- C Carlisle-A Martin-A Hayes-A ( My guess )

I think if there’s one player Hounds hold onto it will be Carlisle, but they also could be doing that to inflate his value. Who knows anymore.

Imo I'd keep them both. They both have had solid camps, and Allard and Schenkel should be the two to move.. Need help at fwd. Especially if Nordh doesn't come. But Raftis also said in an article in Soo Star that he doesn't want to start the year with more than 3 overagers.. so who knows.

Doubt Allard ever shows. Also judging by the way it looks (not showing up and the rumour about him requesting a trade), doesn't seem like much of captain material.

Allard isn’t getting a letter. If he does you KNOW that’s what they did to keep him, LOL

I agree that Allard and Schenkel are the ones you move, but if it's not done yet it means that a) there's no plan to move them OR b) the interest/quality of offer hasn't been there.

If it's situation 'a', I agree 100% that the org. needs to reconsider - they should be traded. In an ideal world this was already done and we aren't even having this discussion.

But if recent trade rumours are correct, then it would be situation 'b'. In this case it's a ticking clock to get down to 4, and subsequently 3 0A's. This scenario is a bit trickier because there's no way I let Schenkel or Allard walk to be roster compliant. If push comes to shove I'm keeping Allard/Schenkel to start the season over 2 forwards who don't put up too many points.

And I agree we keep Carlisle... Unless someone knocks our socks off at the deadline 😜

I agree. Yeah my opinions are based off of schenkel and Allard being moved. If they aren't, it's way more valuable to keep them both on the roster. Although, Allard not showing makes it easy to take an extra OA. He'll be a scratch every night, since you can have 4 until november.

Reminds me of a young tye kartye. Liked how nobody on their bench wanted a piece of bowness. Nice to have a guy that can throw them and isn't a liability while he's on the ice.

Martin has taken huge steps. Kid is gonna be a treat to watch
Loved the compete out there from the young guys.

Martin and Hayes looked awesome.

Brady Smith a beauty and seems ready to contribute.

Holub, Solomon and Gillen played well. Solomon pasting Villanueve and many others was sweet, need that physicality. Gillen and Holub although smaller also willing to battle. Andrew will be a player once he gains game play and confidence.
Bowness adds toughness, Vader looked ready for more minutes. Mignosa took another step. Miller made some unreal saves. Lots to like in the young group. Vets looked hungry too. With Musty, Walton, Villanueve in lineup it wasn't a easy game so thought they looked good with all the doom and gloom being thrown around.

Really hope BMB is ok. Limped off and didn't come back.

hard to make predictions until we know if Allard and Nordh are here but i figured we'd be in the 5-8 area. perhaps i'll refine that prediction once we know our full roster.
