Leafs have to sign a defenseman to meet expose requirements for the expansion draft. So it’ll either be Bogo or someone else that’s signed between then and now.

Spezza would just tell them he'll retire rather than uprooting his family and heading south of the border again. He has said on more than one occasion that he want's his girls growing up close to family and in Canada.

Last year Spezza went on waivers and his agent reported that if he was claimed he would retire lmfao...Pretty sure Seattle wont take him. This could be a ploy to get Hyman to sign for cheaper with Spezzas quotes like that. Dont think it will work.

I think they are going 7/3/1. If they lose a D then it solves the problem they have going into next year (assuming they think Liljegren and Sandin are both ready to be full-time).
