Agreed they will and mgmt don't possess the cutthroat nature to do it, but would be great if Keefe somehow decided to implement a meritocracy instead of throwing Marner out for 25mins/night when it's clearly undeserved

I think they can now trade kerfoot in a separate deal and still have Spezza and Engvall as the forwards if they went the 7/3/1 route. Seattle wouldn't waste a pick on Spezza knowing he would probably retire before report.

Don't like that Liljegren is a soft player, which the Leafs have an abundance of. They need more physical players that will push people around, too bad they have a GM who probably doesn't feel that way.
