Maybe. Probably. Either way, they’re not looking at JJ as anything but a spare, if that. I don’t think giving him a tryout makes them desperate. They’ve got Jacob MacDonald who had 14 points in 33 games last year as well, and they’ve got some young guys like Barron who could see minutes.

Whether or not that’s a winning combination is one thing, but they’re anything but desperate lol.

Byram might eventually be their most important defenseman. Maybe their best. Even if Makar does score at a PPG pace. Byram seems like he could eventually provide that elite level defense NHL teams need to win. Makar still improving defensively though, maybe he can catch up.

Chytil's biggest issue here is that he isn't a player who compliments his wingers, its not a knock its just who he is as a player and his style of play. I don't see a time where Panarin asks to be on his wing, or Lafreniere for that matter, he's just not a give and go player, he's more of a straight line player who drives the net, its not a bad thing but if our top 6 has Laf and Panarin on different lines it's not ideal to have him as their center. I would absolutely love a 3rd line of Kreider Chytil and Goodrow because i think that line could play well together, get in on the forecheck and turn dmen around. To sum up, i like Chytil i just don't see him as a center for either Laf or Panarin. People can blame Quinn all they want for his usage but if he was a better option for Panarin last year than Strome, Panarin would absolutely be asking for him and he'd get him.

I want to see that line too.

Over 7" of rain up here in Bergen County NJ. Major flooding in Montclair and other areas of Essex county. Friggin rivers everywhere. I know multiple people who lost their cars. One had to be evacuated from her house in Piermont. Insane amounts of rain.

To put it into perspective 7" of rain equals nearly 90" of snow

Lost my entire first floor of house. Sucks ass.

nothing that can’t be replaced pretty easily or covered by insurance. So for that I’m thankful.
Just a pain in the ass to spend money to put everything back the way it was

Chytil needs to step up and establish himself on this team. Management and the coach will find someone else.

Maybe Chytil isn't a top 6 center. He can still have an excellent career playing on the 3rd line. If he gets 14 minutes per game, he needs make those minutes to count and making himself more noticeable. This is a very important season for him in this organization.

We need a center that would be interchangeable. Capable to produce on the 2nd line but not a liability on the 3rd. A good 2way middle 6 center. I don't know where we could possibly find one.....
