After the injuries, Gallant proceeded to give those minutes to Goodrow of course (17:28) and Kevin f***ing "I want to kill myself" Rooney for some f***ing reason (15:46). He finally relented and gave Lafreniere (14:22) a bit of time and we scored two goals.

Keep mansplaining to me about how he won't do that in the playoffs even though he's done it the entire ass season.

Laf should never have been taken off line 1 imo. Vatrano could do his thing anywhere in the top 9.

Copp helps. I really wish they'd use Goodrow as the 3c as well

Best loss of the season. Down Panarin and Copp, they battled to the very end when they could have taken it easy. But that is just not their way. I just love this team.

Even if they don't go as far as we like, in the playoffs, you know we will get our money's worth.

They didn't play poorly against Boston and they didn't play as poorly as you say tonight. The other goalie made some really good saves tonight plus, again, we were missing important guys. These last 4 games are meaningless in the big picture. It's obvious they have turned it down a little ever since clinching 2nd. Gallant only cares right now about the playoffs and having guys healthy and that is exactly what he should be doing.

That's fair, but for someone who is not comfortable playing anything but LW and when you have Panarin and Kreider on the roster, what else can you do?

I could be off, but reading between the Gallant lines this sounds like it might be 3 broken vertebrae for Panarin and a compound leg fracture for Copp.

Also, beyond Shesterkin this was an awful game. We did play half the game without two of our best players. But we just got forechecked to death. Even right before the Kreider goal we were just being punished in our end and that was the Mika line with Trouba/Miller. I was very discouraged with how badly we got outplayed. I can't believe how close the shots and goals were.

Carolina is the better team. The Rangers were outplayed in all four games by Carolina. Georgiev won them the game in Carolina before the trade deadline. That Carolina team is good.
