Yeah, probably the biggest issue is their transition game.

Its like the rangers are terrified of starting a forecheck consistently. So teams just box the puck carrier on zone entry.

Also, I will probably end up breaking my TV if I have to see any more lazy backhanded passes through traffic..

Their ability to break out and move through the neutral zone and into the offensive zone as a unit comes and goes. On a related note, we see a lot of the "dump and change" that gets mocked here because they're unable to get out of their zone for much of the shift and when they finally do, that shift is over and the unit of 5 needs to get off. And that happens often because they suck at faceoffs and get pinned after own-zone draws. It's a domino effect.

Winning more faceoffs would help them come up ice as a controlled breakout and as a unit. Other times, they need to have speed and support as they get over the blue line.
