Ive said this before, but my library has games, so a disc drive literally saves me thousands of dollars. Platinumed Sekiro without spending a dollar.

I went from a very scant PS5 inventory, to a backlog full of games this holiday season. This PS sale is huge.

Safe to say I'll be spending a lot of time on PS5. Just over the last few days I've got

- Spider Man Miles Morales
- Avengers
- Elden Ring
- Judgement
- Lost Judgement

I gotta say the ps5 version of Jedi: fallen order aint good. The load times are too long when you die, significantly worse than Series S load times (what I originally beat it with) and that was running on the backwards compatible Xbox One S mode. On Series S it was instant. Also some of the shadows are super low quality.

This might have already been announcement but I didn’t know until now. FF16 going to PC after 6 months (unless this is mistranslated), relatively short exclusivity window.

I figured it would release on Xbox and PC in December when the six month window shuts, get that holiday rush in
The belief is Sony locked up console exclusivity long-term on both the FF Remake and FFXVI. But, it will find its way to PC likely within a year of it being released on console. It was in the filings by Microsoft to one of the major governing bodies related to the Activision purchase.

Looks a lot better, I believe this was originally a platinum game but they got booted off the project years ago. Looking much more like a Tales game right now.

Oh, and just to confirm, they will obviously have English voices correct? Just want to make sure since the trailer was in complete Japanese.

They did put up an English trailer after the stream apparently.

The story goes that Platinum was contracted to start production while Cygames was setting up their own studio, and then Cygames took over when they were up and running. But that's probably at least partially a charitable PR story.

It looks like squares reluctance to send out PC codes wasn’t because it was a bad port, but the opposite. The PC version looks significantly better than PS5.

Really want to pickup the Deadspace remake. But I also don’t feel like throwing $70 on a game. What do you think the chances are it goes on sale in a month or two?

I bought a ton of games in 2021, almost all of them were mid or just not good. I only spent money on elden ring in 2022. I’m far more selective about which games I buy these days.

Same. Less time, cost, and a backlog definitely makes me more picky. Just in life in general too if I’m not having fun with my fun free time I used to “force myself through” whether it be a game, book, etc to finish what I started now I’m like hey I’m not feeling this time to move on and enjoy something else.

I think the only games I've bought at full price this year are God of War: Ragnarok and Horizon:Forbidden West. Both were games I immediately played and beat, so they were worth it for me even at the CAD $90 price point. Maybe a switch game too like Bowser's Fury since Nintendo games are notoriously difficult to find on sale (also beat that pretty much as soon as I got it). I've bought other games but generally on deep Steam sales or PS5 games on sale. Between my backlog and having PC Gamepass, there are very few games that are must-own Day One. Off the top of my head for 2023 that basically are day-one must buy for me (Barring horrific reviews) are Spider-Man 2, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Jedi: Survivor, and Hades 2 whenever that goes into early access. As I know when I get those, I'll likely play completely through them immediately. Everything else I'll wait for a sizable sale on unless there is some game that people are raving about massively and looks like it won't just be another game added to my backlog to hopefully play eventually (so maybe FF XVI or another game falls into this).
