The last two games from Square Enix looked decent but nothing else interested me at all
There wasn't much of interest in my opinion, but I think they had it mostly due to publishing/advertising agreements with companies. Originally, it was probably to hype up Ghost Wire Tokyo's upcoming release and Forespoken (which just got delayed). Sony also had a pretty low-key State of Play in March of last year. Sometimes these things are just to give publishers advertising due to contractual agreements. But, outside of maybe showing Final Fantasy XVI or 7 re-make part 2, I didn't really expect much from this when they indicated it was mostly their Japanese partners. People just see a Sony event and then put all their expectations into seeing Hogwarts Legacy or some big first party announcement without reading ahead of time what it's about.

I'm enjoying Horizon Forbidden West, but I must admit, I'm not as enthralled as I was with the first game.

There are obvious mechanical and visual improvements, but the overriding feeling of mystery and exploration in the first game, both in terms of what happened to the world and Aloy's place in it just isn't there in this one thus far. I like where the storyline is going, I'm still interested in the world, but that first game was just narrative magic for me. One of my favorites stories ever in a videogame.
Keep with it. It's a great story, great side stories, and the graphics are phenomenal.

Ps5 finally got shipped to my buddies and was able to pick it up yesterday. I’ve got Elder Ring and Horizon so far but haven’t jumped into either. ER will be first for sure, it’s the one I’ve been waiting to play and avoiding all videos for. That said, ripped some games of Warzone on the new machine and it’s so smooth. Exciting times.

So am I missing something or is there no way to remove games from the media bar on the top of the screen after you are finished with them? I know you can delete them but is that the only option? You were able to move them and put them into folders on the PS4, I hate to have too much clutter

As far as I know you have to delete them.

Sony now has a Canadian Studio, although from the sounds of what is being developed their its an online multiplayer live-service game which I have absolutely no interest in. Bungie and this obviously shows Sony has shifted their acquisition strategy to keep up in this arms race. Usually, they'd help fund Haven for a game or two, see if it lands and buy it then (see Housemarque and Bluepoint).

Honestly, if anything, Sony really likes what they see.
I think it's a combo of the factors I mentioned and that. But, they've never been this aggressive before but they are obviously heavily invested in Live Service games going forward and want a studio outside of Bungie that focuses on that. But, previously, they likely wait it out. This game hasn't even been announced yet. All we know is multiplayer and live service. Cool of Sony though to now have a studio in Canada in one of the best markets for developers in NA.

Im more curious than excited.

Sony has been kind of a disaster as far as maintaining digital libraries generation over generation, so I definitely question their ability or genuine inclination to provide a netflix style option for their customers like GamePass does.

I'm curious what it's going to offer.

I bought a year of PS+ and between the PS+ Collection, a few of the free monthly games, and PS+ discounts, it has been more than worth the money. I'm at the point now, though, the only PS+ games left are games I'm only half interested in.
