Yeah I'd rather not have to choose between resolution and performance which is why I was waiting for the PC release. According to the Digital Foundry review of the port the game runs a lot smoother using DX11 so maybe I will give that a shot.

Honestly my advice is if you really want that 60 fps, and obviously you have a ps5, just buy the PS4 version off Facebook/physical and get the free upgrade, 1080p60 still looks really good and if you're Canadian it's literally like $100 on PC vs $25-30 bucks on PS4. It's pretty much a perfect 60 fps, instant loading, zero stutters.

In fact I just looked it up the 60 fps is actually 1440p so I stand corrected.

Edit: and I again stand corrected you still get free the upgrade if you buy the PS4 digital version too.

Edit: although you probably could just pirate it on PC lol.

Yeah I'm probably just going to end up pirating it. I paid full price for the game on PS4 so I don't feel bad about it lol

It's interesting because, it re-uses a lot of the areas of the base game, so there's no reason it's not on PS4, it's like they're just throwing away money.

Is there a setting or some quick way to "prioritize" Spotify audio over game audio? I'd love to be able to just listen to podcasts or music while playing certain games but the games always drown them out. I've been manually lowering the master volume in game but would prefer not having to do that.

Probably will still be niche, but it has me curious. PSVR2 seems to be launching with a new Horizon game done by Firesprite/Guerilla. Loved the original game, have high hopes for Forbidden West, so very curious to see how this ends up.

Has anyone experienced stick drift on the PS5?

I'm really confused by it. It was really bad for RDR2 and it happened a lot for Bloodborne, but would go away after playing for a little bit. Then I played Sekiro and several other games and didn't notice it once. Now that I'm back on Bloodborne for the DLC and it's happening quite a bit again.

I had one in my one Dualsense. I opened up the controller, took off the stick and cleaned out the machinery part of the stick and put it back together. Been just fine since.

Thanks. I'll look into it. I don't understand why it only happens for some games, though. If it was that it is dirty, shouldn't it affect all games equally?

Yeah it held a multi generational exclusive on Xbox. It is now exclusive on PS5 as Sony is providing resources for it.

BUT…

It’s a timed exclusive for PS5.

5 hours into Scarlett nexus and I'm wondering why I'm stuck with the starting weapon with no stronger weapons coming up.

Turns out the first boss has a one time only drop of a single upgrade material, if you sell it (no in-game warning or anything) your weapon becomes permanently unupgradeable for the entire game.

Bruuuh.

You can make or buy weapons as you go along, you aren't stuck with unupgradeable starters the whole game
