I'm getting semi-serious about starting a brutally critical, polemic Flyers blog but uncertain if I'll have the energy to stay committed to creating new articles and playing the damn Twitter game.

Keith Jones would wink at you once, or Tortorella would mention Nixon was his favorite president, and you’d be writing flowery puff pieces in no time.

- Identifying interested contributors, starting a group chat, and divvying responsibilities
- Figuring out a name, identity, and general branding/header images and wordmark
- Probably starting a Wordpress because it's easy as f***, maybe paying for the URL if desired
- Creating a general monthly content calendar based on peoples' ideas and time
- Starting social accounts
- Maintaining social accounts and using them to grow the reach

Which is why it's kind of a bitch to consider doing on my own. But if we had a posse I'd be down to take the lead on a few of those things, since all this is what I do at my day job anyway.

I could do all the graphics stuff, except the paying for URL. I wouldn't need (or want) credentials.

When the newspaper I worked for went out of business, I had a plan to take five of us as equal partners and do the same thing the paper had been doing, but put it on the internet and use small subscription fees and advertising to pay us. I was going to take care of sports and all the website stuff (I was teaching myself how to do it using a Wordpress-like thing) and I had two news reporters and a photographer - all people I could trust - I just could never find the sales/business person, so I had to abandon the idea and move to Thailand.

Credentials might be hard to come by if we're excessively confrontational, though. They're easy to get for these rah-rah airhead bloggers, but if your whole purpose is to vent frustration at the shittyness of the franchise, the media folks on their side will take one look and go "nah."
This is true, but it's easy to be critical without being excessive about it.

We are smart. I know we've bandied it around before but I mean, a lot of us are pushing like 10,000 words a day on this site. There's already a built-in dedication to, uh, complaining about the Flyers.

Consider yourself looped.

I guess if we wanted to do this the tasks would be:

- Identifying interested contributors, starting a group chat, and divvying responsibilities
- Figuring out a name, identity, and general branding/header images and wordmark
- Probably starting a Wordpress because it's easy as f***, maybe paying for the URL if desired

I'm also down to contribute, I need an outlet for how much rage I have for this team.

I'm typically a fan of STG and Russ, but it is pathetic to say Jonesy is "shining" for spouting the most predictable cliches possible in a team-released propaganda video.

That's one of the funniest things i've ever read. The ballwashing knows no bounds.

They literally put this content out every year. Just no one watches it.

The idea Jonesy had one thing to do with that video is a hoot. It’s your standard marketing department video. But I suppose it is possible Jonesy filmed Dan Hilferty tying his shoe and then edited it together.

He’s also been commentating the playoffs on location every f***ing day.

They have all betrayed sanity.

Russ was the (at times) rational one at STG, and at least the biggest skeptic. He's fallen in line with the likes of Myrtetus. Which I get because he's going to lose Bundy is he goes against the narrative.

BSH has done the exact same which kind of surprised me.

The disease is spreading.

Are we willing to put money down that Keith Jones was one of the "leakers" to STG the last few years?

The tone shift is something to behold

Sans Russ, the other two thought Fletcher was doing a good job prior to last summer. So they’re not exactly a hard group to please.

But yeah their messaging/talking points have probably always come from the alumni.
