He's comparing 90 point Stutzle to Nolan Patrick. And Sanderson+Chabot (the plus is vaguely important too) to Provorov. There's no chance he believes that these are comparable.

The best part is how self-defeating Charlie's point is when you apply this logic elsewhere. "Flyers thought they had the 1C (Gauthier) [...] and 1D (magical 2024-2025 draft pick) though..."

You're HOPING Drysdale is a good top 4 defender long-term. For how I view Gauthier, it's comparable. 1D talk is fantasy stuff -- he's not that guy. The reality is they needed a 1D/top pair guy and 1C (to varying degrees) as of yesterday. And they still need both as of today, with no plans for either. And the center is really the sticking point.
