If you think his views are "septic tank" like most of this forum does, I'm unsure why people want to keep propping him up. The more interactions with his content the more people are feeding the algorithms.

People on this forum who dislike his opinions actively go read his content which i think is hilarious. Not that I'm the least bit surprised but it is pretty comedic.

I'm not sure I've read more than a couple articles on his new website. It's not like I think he's a hot take artist or true dreck -- he's a good writer, I'll give him that. True dreck is guys like Kevin Kurz, his Athletic replacement. I just don't think Charlie has particularly good hockey opinions, and he's rather obnoxious about those opinions. I think he's more crude in his analytics usage than he thinks.

The entire point of this thread is to post tweets that make us guffaw or roll our eyes. Charlie isn't Baskow; most of our complaints with him are intellectual ones. I'm still scratching my head about what this conversation is about.

He’s also picked on in here because he’s a pompous “know it all” who puts out statements in a daily basis that contradict other things that he has said.

I honestly think of Baskow and Jordan Hall as special needs kids. Happy in their own mind

I do too, the part that really annoys me is that he is a kid who has never put up crazy goal totals at any other level.

The Flyers media types will blow him up for the next 2 years, he'll end up being a decent, useful player. But because the Authentics don't understand what you usually get out of late first round picks combined with the fact he will get over hyped for years, people will act like he is a bust when he ends up being like a middle 6/top 6 winger that puts up solid but unspectacular production.

They're so desperate to sell these kids to the fanbase that they spread total BS and its a huge disservice to the kids.

This is actually even funnier because I was at the game and it was embarrassingly quiet/small crowd. My partner and I haven’t been to a game since they lost to the bruins in the 2011 playoffs and we were so disappointed that we picked this one to take the kiddo to for his first game
