It's always an exercise in futility to compare players from different eras. It's like taking soldiers from World War II with WWII weaponry and ask them to win a war against modern armies.
Those players in the 50s grew up during war or even participated in it.

More like my soccer Giroux, based on his skillset.
You might have noticed I have a type when it comes to hockey guys, which kinda translates to soccer. Giroux, Ghost, Jake, Frost to a lesser extent… Dynamic playmakers who create for themselves and others. Smart, have great vision, make quick and decisive passes, but can also score goals themselves.
That’s how I see Reyna, especially after watching a lot more of him in Dortmund. Love watching him play. Can’t overstate how clutch he was during Dortmunds 2nd half last year.
Just scored again, by the way.
