Nah, Paul's got the boys firing on all cylinders...Going to guess without watching.....coaching?
Thought so.

Great points. Dude does not lay the lumber EVER anymore. Wow just wow.Another J Moe dud 0 shots 0 hits 0 blocks 0000 i remember him having like 10 hit games last year, now he has 28 hits in 57 games what is wrong with this dude this year?
I think leadership are floaters and have no consequences for their lack of d zone effort.. Its time to shake up the room.. 55 or 26 needs to move on.
Sharks game plan was simple and effective - play us hard down low in our end and in front of our net.
It keeps coming back to our D situation - we can't clear the front, we can't strip pucks and we don't win board battles in our end.
So we spend every shift chasing in our end with nothing left to create anything through the NZ and in their end - we have a gaping hole in our game and it's so easy to expose - even the Sharks figured it out.
It's not systems or lack of offense or a bad game plan. You can't win hockey games if you can't defend and regain possession.
That's how the whole night went until the Sharks decided to defend their lead and backed off on their offense (or time in our zone).
Now, all of a sudden, we have an effective O game and the D play no longer applies or impacts our play - we simply walk out of our zone.
We could have scored 4 or 5 games in the last 3 minutes - Sharks almost blew it by playing a D game against our O game and forgetting about their original game plan.
This is not a systems issue - it's a D issue - and it obvious.
Maybe the coach could actually hold him accountable????? This is on the coach-hold your vets accountable!!!!We haven't had a number 1 Center for weeks now either
Or...just maybe...the coach could hold everyone equally accountable...for once???
Here's a wild idea that just occurred to me - what if they brought in a new voice behind the bench to kind of hit the reset button? Help these guys get over their psychological block or whatever it is. Has any team ever tried something like that? I think it's worth a shot. Maybe not today - let's give Maurice a bit more time. If things aren't way better by...February 2023, maybe it'll be time to start exploring this kind of radical move...I can't believe im gonna say this but the ppl in charge who get to see the ins and outs of the team dont think the coach is a problem and honestly im not sure if the coach plays any real significant role on game days Anyways. The real coaching is done on non game days. This teams problem seems to be between the ears.
Yes, 91 points is the pace the teams fighting for the wild card are on.
Think a couple of these turtle derby teams will suddenly get hot?
Possible of course. Hope not because I can't see the Jets getting above 93 points.
You guys know what an echo chamber is? Like it’s impossible to actually to talk hockey right now around here.
55 can be saved. 26 is already sliding down a slippery and steep age related slope. Move him please.I think leadership are floaters and have no consequences for their lack of d zone effort.. Others see this and think ok they ain't buying in, im not gonna either. Honestly from Maurices presser sounds like they did the opposite of what they supposed to do.

Chevy has got a lot of work to do with this roster, starting at the deadline....................sell sell sell
I disagree. Sure, of course, it’s all on Scheif. But in the real world, professionals at every level must be help accountable. If a multi millionaire needs constant motivation to bust his ass every game then i dont think coaching is the problem. Scheifs issues aren't on Maurice, they are on Scheif... Could Maurice maybe call his lack of d effort out? Sure but i don't know if that accomplishes anything good.
Coaching made Kyle Connor miss the open net!
In all seriousness, whatever you feel about the coaching, the team has a serious lack of ability in the defensive zone. No coach can fix a bad player.
The o-zone stuff is all system, though. 3 shots in the 1st period, none after the 5 minute mark, is awful.
I have two cats....

It was really a momentum swing. Jets took momentum in the 2nd. After the PP goal. And Maurice's adjustment.
But the 3rd they were flat, shifts were sloppy, and not hard enough, which may have to do with the fuel the team burns playing mostly 3 lines. And let's face it we can't play 4 lines, 3 injuries at forward and we don't have the depth to cover them.
Our defense wasn't bad. I thought Pionk was the best defenseman on the ice. Yes there is the weakness of defending the front of the net, but really it is Morrissey that struggles as much as anyone in this aspect. He was off tonight. I thought the team was really good at collapsing to negate chances until the 3rd . I was impressed how well the defense stood up on the PK, as a positive. Used to losing the special teams battles this year, we lost this one 5 on 5, and easily could have won. That's kind of how heartbreak works.
Did we give Kane an ovation too?Kane came to rink slapped Pionk around heard the boo's left happy with the win.
